Can't help feeling that some folks of India opt to migrate and prosper elsewhere, to come back and be glorified.

Can we blame them for the crab mentality in our country, pulling each other down?

This country is likely to be re-colonized by immigrants now, instead of the anglo-saxons.
if not by chinks and japs sooner ,the way our sarkar is getting modified!

Upset about name change!!
by adam smith on Sep 19, 2014 09:18 AM  | Hide replies

Why do we get upset with name change of people, especially of those who rise above average in America and come into limelight? How does it, in any circumstances, affect the person’s ability or lack of it? What’s in a name? …..as that literary gentleman mentioned all those centuries ago.

This gentleman in question, whether he calls himself ‘Richard’ or ‘HGSV Inderjit Singh’….how will it affect the performance of his duties as an ambassador? Take it easy, countrymen!

Then dear Adam Sith should explain to us what is wrong with his original name. Why does he feel compelled to change it to an American-sounding name??

When people went to USA some 30 years ago they changed their names and put such names to their kids. Not anymore. These days there are all kinds of Indian names in America.

He is an American national and is expected to represent his country as their ambassador in India. Grow up, please …… why be paranoid about Indians having embraced overseas nationalities to continue to be Indians? Do we extend the same analogy to any foreigner settled in India? It makes a sad story when people like Mark Tully who for more than 4 decades have contributed to India more than an average Indian are still not considered Indian enough!

No one expects him to be Indian but question is about why his appointment is in big headline just because of his Indian lineage. It is good for Indians in America but how it is good for us in India.

I think it is in our blood that we never allow things to happen prior to our comments... sick minds are always thinking that way. There is no cure for that.... no ayurvedic, allopathy, homeopathy.....

In overseas countries people take other route / religion with happiness...that is the freedom. It is because they might have received some changes in their life after attaining that. Let him continue. Y such comments on net. People around the world are watching us with great expectation.... let it not be spoiled with your words and deeds. Ache din aayenge.... just wait

if he is a pure christ... no problem, the forcible conversion is a big problem. Let them do the same thing elsewhere and see the tamasha.
