If J&K people misbehave with the army after the floods have subsided and life is back to normal. Then people of J7K will be the biggest fools and looser. In future they do not deserve any sympathy from any one in whole of India let alone the army. India
The NDRF Team with its carores budget also State Police and Para military have again failed to give results during J&K calamity. While the Armed forces have once more performed exellently and won the heart of J&K people also the nation. It would be in our long term interest to merge this body with Army, even in TA Territorial Army under the command of respective Lt.Gen. Army Commanders. To it, fresh retired fit commandos can be deputed.They could have special all round training so they could be deployed in natural calamity also in war.. There is no doubt that officers and men of Police and even Para Military forces have never been found effective,in any grave situations.

R u talking about pak. In india musleems increased to 25%. They also control govt in biggest states like up bihar bengal and r 40% in states like assam and 30% in kerala. How can any body abuse so much population.
Why media make do this type of question. If Kashmir is interagal part of india at the same time the Government should not hesitates to step against those peoples who are support to PAKISTAN or any orginasation who is against us

Armed Forces are the only one suited for any kind of Immediate Relief Operations.Others must understand their ROLE AND GOAL.Any Disaster has 3 phases.Immediate relief(Armd forces), Rehab(Civ Admin),Mitigation (policy makers).Immediate relief and rehab is managed very well. The problem is mitigation.Policy makers/politicians do not think about mitigation of floods.In future All rivers are likely to be flooded if every year de-silting is not carried out. Environmentalist must understand that silting is a natural process. De-silting is must to avoid floods.All state Govts must plan de-silting in their own Area every year. COL C J PAL
