People motivated by a particular religion killed MK Gandhi in cold blood, but the religion was not condemned as a cause of violence. It is an invalid generalization from some acts of killing that religion of the killers causes violence. People sometimes consider wrong and some times right to kill persons. Even today a socially very influential class of people living in India regard killing Gandhi as justified on grounds of religion, and have power to make others hold the belief. The impression of a particular religion as the general cause of violence is a prejudice, as we tend to forget even recent history.
Even definition of violence is unethical. Innocent new born facing destitution, ignorance, poverty, prejudice, exploitation and discrimination is violence that goes on but is not described as violence. No force is deployed to protect new born against such conditions. We automatically assume that we and our society are not responsible for social conditions, which is untrue and illogical.
Indians do not have any passion for excellence, religion, philosophy, psychology, equality, liberty and fraternity. Their excellence is limited to getting some marks in school exams and copying things from here and there. Their passion for religion is limited to doing 20,000 rituals and maintaining total status-quo. Luckily the British came and gave some civilisation to the backward Hindus and Muslims lost in Dogma and Decline.
Mr bose is an idot. It is hindustan the country who worship idols. Not the country who consume cowmeat and pork. Do not blame indian hindus. Read vedas and bhagwatgita.ur brain will get afresh.namaskar.

US is already self sufficient in oil. Electric cars will become a commercial reality just in 5-10 years. Renewable energy sources are making rapid progress. All these technologies are in the same phase as fax machines and internet were in (as late as) 1990s. As for as Pakistan is concerned, it has already thrown away the base created by British and has degenerated in extremist dogma for basically stupid objectives. Even the most extreme optimist can see no hope but deterioration only. Only Allah can help!
