Pakistan is jealous of recent successes of India on the international front and how its pet issue of Kashmir is being relegated to the back burner by the world. It is also afraid with investments pouring in, India will become strong economically as also in its armed forces. So Pakistan is trying its best to pull down India to its level by trying to incite a border war. Doing this will focus international attention on Kashmir again and also distract India from its focus on economic and social progress. Best to ignore Pakistan at this point and stay focused on development. But we should be prepared to expect more of border or internal attacks on India in near future.

PM should go
by Sanjeev Sharma on Oct 07, 2014 10:20 AM  | Hide replies

Modi talks before elections like a lion, after elections served biryani to pakki, and now just sending warning. Don't give excuses that we are in power for only 4 months and need 1 yr to take any action. India army is that much strong that they can wipe out whole Pakistan in 2 days but we are suffering because of these politicians who are power greedy.

We keep on warning again and again, they keep on firing again and again. We talk, they act.

Please take strong action immediately otherwise BJP will be wiped out like congress.

Spineless Govt.
by crusaderzz on Oct 07, 2014 10:04 AM  | Hide replies

I fail to see any concrete plan either with the previous Govt. or with the current one on how we are going to counter this menace.
Nothing seems to have changed with the new Govt. It just looks like we are mute spectators. Pak will do what they want at the border, kill civilians, will enter into Mumbai and massacre our people, and we still remain silent mute spectators.
Does anyone have a clear road map on what we plan to do?
Or we just keep saying that Pak violated the cease fire.
Its disappointing to see another spineless Govt who appears completely clueless on how to tackle Pak.

shame on you Modi and Jaitley. Whatever empty speeches you make showing your hands and trying to make a euphoria , as a PM these are the times when your mettle is being tried and you are proving to be another chicken hearted cissy. The same goes with Jaitley who keeps on saying empty promises of retaliaition . If retaliating it should be 10 fold . Oh, I forgot , Modi can send another Sari to Shariff's mother and even Musharaff's wife too( lately Mushie baby has also started aiming his guns on India , may be to save himself from ignominy) and plead with them to stop this onslaught and most likely this is going to happen . I am disappointed with you Modi , absolutely disappointed , though we thought initially that you are going to bring India's glory back but no, you are just simply empty gas meant to polarize India using religion as a tool . Who knows , whether Pakistan pays you??/. otherwise show your patriotism by ordering our forces to give them back on a 1:10 ratio. Even Mulayam DID it .

UPA has created a host of problems for the nation. UPA has left our economy as well as defence preparedness in disarray. Modi government is trying to fix them before taking any drastic action. Pakistan in collusion with some anti-national elements within India is trying to cause discomfiture to Modi government and derail his efforts to fix nation's economy and defence. They are desperate because India's Modi and Modi's India will get only stronger with time, and they want tp prevent this happen at any cost.

While I have been supportive of a lot of other initiatives that Modi seems to drive, I completely endorse your views on the Govts incapability to handle this issue. Rajnath has no knowledge of theportfolio he hhandles. Pak is openly daring India, they probably know how spineless the Govt and our country is. After 26/11,they seem completely convinced that we have no guts to take them on. No other country would have tolerated a violence of that magnitude, they might have finished the country that perpetuated the violence. And herewe have oour begger politicians begging for talks, for Hafeez and Dawood. Shameless people who have sold the country for their personal gains.

India ability to take action now depends on how the government of the last 10 years performed on defence front. It seems UPA has left us, our defence forces in a very weak condition.

If at all Modi and his ministers' are empty speeches, that is because previous UPA government has left our defence forces empty handed. Modi needs time to get modern weapons in their hand before taking any hard steps.

Action cannot come from Thomas. It needs to come from the Govt who we elected, who seems to be more bothered at this stage to win elections in one state, while a part of the country is burning and enemies are in filtering.
