sweeping is only tokenism

But it isn't bad anyway.

But does Modi has the will power to:
allocate money for installation of proper toilets in trains.
Implement strict laws on pollution making industries.

Or after a few days, chaddizzx will start a "India clean already" campaign and insist that India has become clean.

Modi- mixed review
by sridhar nanagiri on Oct 03, 2014 08:32 AM  | Hide replies

First great appreciation to Modi to touch all these points to make India better. This is not advertisement because as someone point out he has some vision for India and is real nationalist who thinks about India. He is the first PM even seen after Indira Gandhi who is really thinking of transforming India. We must thank him. Friends we know he is fundamentalist but in cleanliness let us give him some applause to take it to national level, our only concern is some of his dream may not materialize in practical when he say why cannot India figure in top cleanest cities in world.

Calagary in Canada is cleanest, other are Kobe in Japan, Heinski in Finland, Swtizerland, Singapore and few in Europe. It is for those places where population of city is around 10 lakhs except Singapore which has 60 lakhs. But common ground is strict law for making it dirty.

Also inculcating habits in people of japan to clean stadium if you make it dirty. Having dustbin all over place and road. Here in India if you put big dustbin, there are good chances of stealing that dustbin because of poverty and hunger in India. This is where Modi is going wrong, to make a country prosperous it starts with reducing population, then poverty, then corruption, then communalism and then rules and regulations and reforms and then prosperity, he is finding a midway thinking india is a rich country. It cannot be achieved he needs to get rid of RSS principle that majority should outnumbered minority

You can keep the city clean either by force or strict law.... Not by just inspiring people to take broom in hand and by honesty. Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore if you google search took the same broom and started this cleanliness drive in Singapore, but below are some rules and laws how he kept Singapore as 4th cleanest country in world.

Chewing bubble gum has been banned in Singapore for over two decades.A heavy penalty if chewing gum is throned on streets.

If you are convicted of littering three times, you will have to clean the streets on Sundays with a bib on saying,” I am a litterer.” This will then be broadcasted on the local news.

If you go on public toilets and dont flush toilet and you are caught on complain, you have to pay 500 dollars fine.

Eating raw fish while lecturing on science is illegal.

No hugging in public to stranger without their permission.

No poking adverse comments at religion.because in Singapore it’s a highly serious matter and you can be cited for sedition.

Molesting a woman or touching girl can lead to corporal punishment and caning.

Jaywalking and crossing if Signal when light is red can cause fine.

This is their way to keep the country safe and clean.

Here in India under freedom of speech and freedom of expression people like Yogi Adityanath and Owasis can degrade each other religion, poke fun, throw papers, make roads dirty, festivals in India can cause lot of dirt not only on streets, but on sea and air. Fe

If Modi do not talk practical things then nobody can remove Modi, his big and impossible talks will let his downfall in coming 5 years.

Selling a dream and achieving it is different Modi,.

Still best political analyst in world know Modi is dream merchant and dream seller, but have no practical idea to achieve it. We all were engrossed and laughing when American leaders who claim as most intelligent in world believed in what Modi said.

He is good person with good intent, but he is big bluffer and too optimistic

Why are you so cynical. What is wrong with swach Bharat campaign? India has a very poor image because of uncleanliness. Let us do our part to keep our country clean and make the movement a huge success.

Very glada nd happy Ex Star batsman/captain of India Sachin Tendulkar will start doing something special for the country; you may even say 'repay and return' to India .....since young this superb cricketer brought more glory to himself than India (Like his meantors...who are even plundering with good post and even double income....Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Dilip Vengsarkar and even Sandeep Patil) he had best of everything...So much so that even his young toddler son-now big boy used to train, enter dressing room and get everything of Indian player w/o representing even school along with Indian cricket team wherever is dad Sachin used to go...play, discuss. open, participate and inaugurate.....
NOW our Most Respected Prime Minister has made him a player of a team consisting of 9 members....who are as good, wise and trickster like him to loot, plunder and cheat India.
OI hope he will do a good job...likee a word of caution Sachin must clearly told no income, no sponsorship and no fooling around with his son. A Tea and biscuits before andd after 2 hour of cleaningg...

PM Modi nominates 9 people for 'Swachh Bharat' challenge
by nagaraju on Oct 02, 2014 08:07 PM

The cleanliness should become a way of life rather than a message to be passed on from one to another. The government bodies from capital cities to the gram panchayats have to ensure that the cleanliness in the habitat is well maintained. They must lay broad and neat roads which are built to last for atleast ten years, have clean and clear foot paths, have toilets atleast one a kilometer, dust bins every hundred meters and above all those who neglect the cleanliness in public places must be given harsh punishments. In capital cities let alone the toilets, even the under-passes are used as urinals and poor and uneducated people use them for their living. They must be properly accommodated elsewhere and these must be well lit and used for the purpose for which it is constructed. Trains are also used as dust bins and toilets kept unclean. There too these are some times used by passengers for their seating and sleeping accommodation. The bus stands, railway stations have to be maintained properly. These are government jobs and if they do it sincerely, half the battle is won. Next is curbing the menace of mushrooming slums along the railway lines, storm water drains etc., within the city and mostly these are occupied by rowdy elements. They are also vote banks whom the petty politicians encourage and feed.
