On teaching lessons to China!
by Siddhartha Sankar Maitra on Oct 03, 2014 12:06 PM

The film "Sholay" inspires us in the line. India has always preached China the tenets of 'The Panchasil' to which credence was not lent as the Indian aircraft with 11 aid-de-camps on board crashed excluding Chau-en-lie who boarded a different aircraft coming from Peiking as per the last moment security alerts borne by the then Chinese consulate. Ultimately these two nations broke into an undeclared war resulting from India's rising head for merging Tibet after a lingering dilli-dally of India on the issue. India's Foreign Minister : V.K.Krisna Mennon (who delivered Marathon Lecture at United Nations on Indo-Pak hostilities, quite loyally to the cause of India) betrayed by not informing that China was mustering soldiers, bases & ammunition along the border in oblique intentions as he himself liked Communist Government so that he did not hesitate to clique against mother India. Last but not the least internationally acclaimed orator & philosopher Prof. Radha Krishnan sublimating the designation of The President ordered The Saptasati-Chandi Recitation from all Stations of Akashbani to cry out S.O.S. to The Providence. The Chinese army crashed India's defence mechanism & intruded up to Tezpur in Assam wherefrom they receded under Diplomatic Pressure from Europe. To India's might & capability, gimmick of science & technology, honesty & loads of religion, oratory excellence & robust promises China says "Practice is better than precept"

Is to give Chinese a taste of their medicine. Just like they try to destabilise India thro Maoists, we need to pour oil in flames of Tibet, xinjiang and hong kong.. In the meanwhile it's better to slowly strengthen military capability

Flexing military might earns respect and keep others in fear. China use this tactic very well.

been making these transgressions into Indian territory over the past few decades. They have always made it known that they cannot be expected to recognise the British drawn McMahon line as the border between China and India (with this line, the British hoped to keep Tibet as an independent buffer state between its Indian empire and imperial China, disregarding the fact that Tibet had, for the great part of its history, been part of successive Chinese empires).

But the recent series of transgressions by the Chinese is certainly the most intrusive, frequent and blatant ones after the India China war of 1962.

It is almost certain that the Chinese upped the ante and stomped around non chalantly and repeatedly far inside Indian territory only after Komaaaali Modi, in his all pervasive stuxpidity, brayed out something against China during his visit to Japan !!

Perhaps the Komaaali hoped to humour his hosts - the Japanese - in this manner but he could not have eventually bargained for worse ! All that the Komaaali could do in the aftermath of repeated and blatant acts of transgressions by the Chinese was to slink away unheard from the place and remain quiet about the whole issue. He did mutter a few platitudes towards the need for nations to respect each others borders when the Chinese president was visiting but did not dare to go further than that by making the visitor respond to his statements.

Are you denying that Komaaali Modi sent out verbal barbs at China while on tour to Japan ??

In that case, read about the Komaaali's trip to Japan and how he tried to humour his hosts by making critical statements about China's ways with the world!

What is this thing about hyndu, muxlim, chriztin, hyndu, muxlim, chrzitin.....in all this (I am a Kerala hyndu though I have never practised any religion).

Do you really think that all those with hyndu names in India root for Modi and his clever by half politics and propaganda ??

If you really do so, then it is you who has very limited understanding, is it not ?

Quit political analysis, it does not suit your limited intellect. The transgressions coincided with Chinese premier visit and had nothing to do with Japan visit

The other most important fact is that Kashmir would have been more advanced/developed had the development not been hindered due to interference in the region. The armed forces deployed there has been helping the people while giving protection in the region and we have made all possible efforts to protect the interests of every part of the country. There may have been complaints of over-interference by forces which might not have happened had the army received whole hearted cooperation from public (I guess there was support from public except from those who are tilted towards separatists/anti national elements)
Moreover, the border issues being raised by China are also not tenable as the parts which China says belong to it were never part of China even at the time of India’s independence. After India’s independence, the whole world knows that India had never attempted to annex any province to it. So, the border issues China and Pakistan claim with India are just imaginary and the history itself is witness to it. So, these countries must refrain from raising such issues at any forum or level and instead, be good neighbours and come together to make this world a worthy place to live in

Many writers, exterts and anaysts had advocated carrot and stick policy towards China.

The undercurrent Of India China realtion is hyphenated one due to Pakistan.

But, sucessive Indian establishment has been at loss to put a cohesive and consistant approach on the grounds giving a wrong impression and perception to chinese that Indian Govt has no firm and resolute policy with china on border dispute emboldening them to try adventure on the border.

Also,PLA is perhaps living in time warp of 1962.

The latest incident in chumar could be attributed to many factors with one being-
If India could cancel foreign secretary level meeting with their all weather friend at the last minute on some flimsy pretext thus insulting their friend then China also reserves the right to intrude into Indian territory when their Chief military commandor is on a visit to India just to vitiate the atmospherics and insult the host nation.
