It appears that US, Japan, Vietnam, Australia are forming an Anti-China axis. This axis may be formal or informal but there appears to be a move to counter China militarily. Economic co-operation is a fallout of that strategy.
Modi has clearly changed the Indian position on China from being defensive to offensive. I welcome that change. We were allowing China to get away with murder.
While the change in strategy is welcome, i still feel we should be careful and not get openly antagonistic to China as far as possible.

but these are not our partners and allies ...they can run away in case we take offensive with china openly.

There is no need to fight with china openly , india can bring china to its knees if they ban chinese imports & extend our exports to chinese dominated export destinations.
It is time for India to conclude the much delayed nuke deal with US. Liability law can be handled in many ways and bureaucrats and lawyers will find the right way to get out of this.
Also, defense deals is another direction for cooperation.
And also important is the Free trade agreement.
It doesnt need to take years to be done! Time has come for a full on alliance with US!

consider the scenario.One year prior Modi was persona non grata.Six months later modi recieved heart warming reception in the US.Now the president himself has committed his visit to India.Such is the power of Modiji.And as always he says that its because of 125 crore indians behind him that have give him that stature.Really a brilliant coup
