Other countries (some in Europe) too have incentivised their adults to reproduce. There's nothing wrong with the campaign. If its a matter of personal choice (as you say), the campaign is not forcing anybody to have kids. It is using advertising and incentives to encourage. If Parsis are intelligent (as you say they are), then they will make their own decisions - the campaign won't sway them, right?

You've seriously failed to understand the article. European govts do not spend money on one particular community to reproduce. They give incentives to EVERY couple because their COUNTRY's population is going down. While here, in a country thats brimming with population, govt is giving aid for one particular community to reproduce! And is the govt, through this, also saying taht they shd mary within their community only? And are they also saying that the govt is interested in one particular breed of people? If that doesnt appear bizarre and unethical to you, nothing ever will.
Thank you for enlightening us on this. What the govt is doing in terms of giving "fertility aid" is clearly irrational (and perhaps illegal too)! In a poor country like India, 10 lakhs per year salary is considered to be low enough to be worthy of financial aid?!! Isnt the scheme in a way promoting the cast/religious divisions?
