No doubt Lashkar and Jaish are capable of attacking Indian Cities at will due to dirty vote bank politics of this country. Ministers in J&K na d Bihar have been found to have links with such terror outfits but the Central Govt has no spine to take action on either the sheltering attitude of such state govts or politics of vote. All patriotic Muslim wants to see the wiping out of all terror outfits but due to pressure tactics of a few enemies of the country our rulers willingly oblige them. Contrast to US there is only one religion Safety of the country and its citizens. However India should make one thing quite clear to Pakistan : who so ever attacks India using Paki soil will be considered an aggression by the Govt. of Pakistan and it will be forced to pay dearly for that. Our intelligence agencies are always expressing fears that Pak based terror outfits are trying to procure Dirty Bomb, Stinger Missiles and now Jets to attack India. There is all likelihood of Malaysian plane attacking some big rally during neaxt few days if at all it is concealed in Af-Pak border. We can fear worst for the passengers in the hands of the butchers like they did to sailors of Indian fishing trawler in 2008. But one solace is there Much of the passengers are from China and China helps Pakistan to needle India all the time.
Long back our airforce chief written to the upa govt that 90% of our air defense is obsolete. So an aerial attack cannot be ruled out. But upa govt is already made up its mind to blame pakistan and declare all options are on the table aganist pakistan including more trade and more creket.

India cannot be defended like an European country, by physical prevention or retaliation. However India is so loosely put together and large that other than a large scale attack using Weapons of Mass Destruction, there is little chance that an LeT attack or two would significantly change its policies towards Pakistan, or even create any pressure on Government of India. They could not achieve important effects on 26/11/2008 and very unlikely to do so next time.
However India can be better defended if it responds in kind to WMD attacks by Non State Actors of Pakistan.
Should the child-labor (largest in the world) worry? Should those who live on less than 30 cents per day worry? Should those 700 millions who live on less one dollar per day worry? Should those 300 millions who live on toxic water and are dying slowly worry? Should those who are selling India to accumulate wealth in swiss and singapore banks worry? Should those who take bribes to buy low quality defense equipment at inflated prices worry? Should those who live in luxurious house built on tax payers money worry? Should those who fly in chartered planes worry? Should those who have sent their children and grandchildren to Europe/America worry?
Let us do some soul search for a change. Is India really a nation like China, Japan or Germany? If not, why not?

India is an interesting natural phenomenon of a living fossil primitive society left over from ancient times. It is no fault of anyone. Escape into modern times is difficult for most of its people. Bulk of the population will live and perish without having a modern life.
Whether Pakistan attacks these primitive people and gets away with it does not matter. What matters is that India survives all such attacks till the final one, the one when India finally responds like a modern state.
Indians tend to loose focus. Pakistani intention is to keep Indians busy with trivial details and loose sight of the purpose. Indians should understand that their attacks in fact do hardly any harm to India and are only a smoke screen to hide preparations for a final attack of decision.
Instead of getting distracted, it would be more cost effective for Indians to get ready for that grand final event of decision. India would need to end physical existence of the enemy, bringing their population to zero. In that process bulk of the primitive Indian population might be lost to enemy action. That is no big deal since primitive people have limited relevance in modern times.
Indians need to give total attention to the ultimate objective like mythological thinkers, in spite of efforts to break their concentration. Meditation is more needed than excitement over Pakistani attacks.

It is much easier for Pakistan to deliver nuclear bombs by hand like the 10 bags of 26/11/2008. A bomb weighs only about 40 kilograms. A person can carry it in a bag. No need for sophisticated aircraft.
Once inside the country it can be sent anywhere using normal civil transport. It can be used at will, immediately on delivery or later. No difficulty sending or keeping 40 kilogram objects anywhere in the country.

My doubt is the passengers might have been butchered by the Paki hijackers and plane stuffed with explosives. If such aerial bomb is dropped on Parliament/ Canaught Place /Mumbai Airport or on any of the big election rallies what will happen? None of the politician will suffer except the common man. That's why Indian politicians start howling when security forces kill terrorists or Naxals they don't have to loose their kith and kins.

India has the great benefit of very few vital functions and highly distributed arrangement of the vital functions. This is the direct result of the extremely narrow minded and corrupt politics, which distributes the national construction effort by political rather than scientific criteria.
Even if the top 20 cities are lost, the country still is capable of carrying on and striking back. There is very little dependence on any particular location or persons.
To put India down in a single strike would require strike at over 5,000 locations with great force at each. That is currently not feasible for any Pakistani operation, State or Non State or both.
Pakistani strategy seeks to defeat India by psychological and administrative effects rather than total physical destruction. However the Indian plans could focus on total physical destruction because of the much higher degree of concentration of enemy vital functions.
