Autonomy of students far more important than the institute
by M on Jun 24, 2014 02:08 PM

Autonomy of students far more important than the institute; They should be free to choose and switch courses and take their own syllabi;

University is meant for students and all staff are beneficiaries of what the students pay from their pocket; No teacher has any moral authority or right to say that the quality of students what they produce lack in quality or value and if it is the case then first and foremost duty is to enhance the quality of teachers;
Just because the teachers and colleges cant makeup their shortcomings these guys want students to pay from their pocket for another 12months and continue with same old teachers who themselves are lackluster in imparting any quality;

University is meant for students and without them teachers stand no-where because students pay and staff earn their living out of them,hence quality is lacking in teachers and there they need to go more training by paying money from their own pocket;

Indian students need only three years and its more than enough to measure with any world-standard if right quality of teachers and infrastructure are provided;
Indians are far more intelligent and capable than foreign guys anyday anywhere given a level playing field;

Due to poor standards of education and MISGOVERNACES FOR NEARLY 7 DECADES ,all trusts have vanished !
PEOPLE COULD PLACE FAITH IN CONGRESS, BLINDLY IN A MAN OF NEHRU'S STANDARD,WHO FOR SELF INTEREST OF BECOMING PM ,GOT INDIAS DIVIDED !
LAWS WERE FRAMED BY HIS ADVICES!
THOSE LAWS WHI RAN THE COUNTRY SO LONG! AND FAILED!
Now a man of true potential and WITH TRUTH AS A BASE IS QUESTIONED IN ONE MONTH?
THATS LACK OF WISDOM!

So why they expected the same for AK and media was behind him for not doing anything for 49 days in office and same was told by BJP minister during press conference after meeting for sorting out power crises in Delhi which(power crises) were just meant for blackmailing and raising the electricity tariff. At least AK tried to control the black mailing by Ambani's when there was problem of electricity in Delhi. He tried to scan their accounts through CAG and Court has also ordered the same. He filed FIR against Corporates for black mailing the govt although he was in minority. Being BJP who showed the people very very good and heavenly dreams now why r they backing up?? They don't have the guts and I am sure that they won't deliver any thing in these 5 years and the people like you will keep on supporting them.

Railway Affair
by ojama on Jun 24, 2014 01:05 PM  | Hide replies

When Rail is used by many Indians for their daily commuting to work and other business activity it is essential for the rail Ministry to give many details like.
1) Total KM of Railway on Pan India basis.
2) Total no. of Staff the Railway Employs.
3) Total Assets the railway owns.
4) No. of railway Zones spread across India.
5) The cost/subsidy factors like salary, freebies to staff, Maintenance of Assets, cost of running operations on per KM basis.
6) From One Rupee revenue how the expenses are appropriated under different heads.
7) Revenue from Frieght and Passenger fares.

Railways world over operate on revenue defict model only, what matters is how much defict is allowed or permissible for the size of an Economy.

There is rampant corruption in Rail dept. That is why Mamtas, Lalus & the like wanted rail Ministry-to eat money. Their contractors are big looters-give share up to the top, that is the reason. Is it not visible to Modi? BJP will also eat money but is increasing rail fares for the so called development, Ha.

Instead of sqaurely rising the passenger fares why the railways are not increasing their revenue thru hiking the rates for Advertising spaces in stations and coaches. Why they are not commercially exploting the unutilised railway assets.
Also, they must ascertain and inform the nation which of the zones the cost of operation is high, higher and highest, for optimum resource allocation with deep cost cuts in those routes that are bleeding the rail.

In such matters, former rail minister Mr. Lallu Prasad was hands on for he never troubled the commuters with fare hikes and still the railways were in Black.
