Campa Cola Residents
by sam kona on Jun 30, 2014 04:30 PM

So many people across India are occupying and constructing houses in Govt land. What Govt is going to do? If u go and ask for Elec connection they ask proof of ownership/ID and all, but they give connection readily for slums that cropup. Vote Bank.

Campa Cola..no cola

Obviously Maha's criminally corrupt netas and babus allowed the construction of this illegal structure, otherwise it would have long ago gotten a stop "work order" or been demolished. No???
Folks who bought those flats are not innocents...they must surely have known that the structure was built illegally, but that's nothing new...hundreds, if not thousands of structures in the city are in the same boat..built illegally, and no one bothers..it's just the norm.

The corrupt netas, BMC et al have conspired to make a fool of Indian Judiciary and the normal law abiding Indian citizen by letting the Campa Cola illegal but rich and powerful residents have their cake and eat it too. The judgement was clearly to evict and demolish and the residents had also given their commitment to the court on which they backtracked twice. The lawyers who advised the residents to defy the highest law of the land should be stripped of their licences.A wonderful charade has been played out by ostensibly "cutting off utilities".Since when has such things mattered for the richies who can purchase anything, law included. The water they get is from tankers, they can easily manage private gas cylinders in black, not to speak of generators. What have we achieved?. Tomorrow if despicable rich criminals, murderers and rapists manipulate to live out their sentence in the 5 star comfort of their homes can we complain?

Media should not
by Vivek Dev on Jun 27, 2014 12:52 PM

Media should not make martyrs of Campa Cola residents. These people were fully aware that the flats were illegal, they wanted to make a killing investing in illegal flats. People should not fall for such sob stories.

Related issues such as AADRASH Ghotala should also be considered seriously. Only becoz the residents are politically powerful, Govt has shown that it can do no harm to m BUT use its power to crush common men.

All ministers keep saying" we want to see zero tolerance to corruption and no matter how high or powerful the person is he would be punished" No one has seen this statement put to action anywhere till now
I am not talking about a cop taking a bribe to let off for some traffic offence.
Rahul and Sonia, Please make a statement LET THE CLEAN UP START AT THE TOP and show that it is done.
It is a disgrace to the serving soldiers and their families and those who have laid their lives for the nation and their dependents that in the name of those who work hard to make our borders are safe, and secure the politicians and officials have misused the principle of the project.
It is a shame only statements will come out and all the perpetrators will get out scot free.
For a change charge all ministers and officials involved, put them behind bars and cancel their allotments and I am sure Congress would bag Maharashtra in the next polls.

Lets see if they can demolish all the slums festering in Mumbai.
I bet they cant, because its their vote bank.
The Campa Cola residents are victims in this entire plot & not perpetrators.
They are tax paying citizens unlike slum dwellers who steal power/water, defecate on roadsides and are a nuisance to everyone.

Sorry! Slums will never be touched!

Slums are filled with Congress Party voters.

If slums are demolished, Congress Party will also be demolished!

N D A government should have fun with the slums on central government land by offering to reduce rail fare hike if Congress Party demolishes it voter slums on railway owned land!

seems, this govt just DONT have money.

F0niaGang l00ted mountains of money,
akready shifted to foreignCountries.

Govt wants money, has 2 choices:

1. get money back from the original l00ters, and how?
arrestF0niaGang

interrogateFoniaGang

GetMountains OfMoney Back

OR,

2. take money from hard working plus the poorest indians.

govt must try harder: must use option-1 above.
option-2 means, in a sense, that:

1. the innocentAre being targetted again.

2. the guiltyAre:
walking freely in the LokSabha,
living 5-star lives,
in topNotch hotels worldwide,
ALL UNDER THE VERY NOSE OF THE GOVT.

it must stop.
arrestThe SuspectedGuiltyF0niaGang
interrogateThe F0niaGang
They will spill the beans.
They will tell where they hid the money.

Just get that money back.

THEN YOU REALLY DONT NEED:
- THE S.I.T

- TO FORCE MONEY OUT FROM POOR INNOCENT INDIANS.

Dont take our hardEarned money. Better take TheL00ters money.

Sad day
by chandru sekar on Jun 23, 2014 07:27 PM

Its very sad that the innocent residents are being punished for the mistakes of others - builders and govt officials.

I really do not understand why the supreme court gave this decision. It is simply going to encourage the builders and govt officials to continue their bad work.

To the resident, it would be good if they are atleast provided with an alternate roof.
However this could be a lesson to those who buying property to become extra careful to verify the legality
