This news is Editor's choice

This hows how media and few castes are thirsty for blood of Mr Akhilesh. There is no reporting for a killing of an innocent muslim in Pune by BJP goons but Akhilesh govt is always in news for all 'wrong'reasons.
Rapes have become a social epidemic in every state and first two top states are ruled by BJP. This fact is being hidden by the vested interests in media.
Rape can not be stopped by law, but by social movements.
Media is playing in the hands of the BJP fixers in Delhi who want to capture Lucknow and Patna at any cost. For them, riots, encounters and rapes are small things to commit; to gain some political points.
UPites(only core supporters of SP) must unite and thwart any attempt from BJP fixers.

Vow by your logic a BJP person living in UK kills a Gora and the whole BJP in India is responsible for it.. Ya there are Hindu pocket picketers troubling Muslims and media should report on that too...

LAW & ORDER
by skmahendroo on Jun 07, 2014 04:03 PM  | Hide replies

Law & order can only be improved if the State govt first acknowledges it & wants to act without any consideration of cast. It appears to be govt of Yadav & for the yadavs only.People had better expectations from a young CM

Indian Media: a biased lot
by Aditya Yadav on Jun 07, 2014 03:53 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Akhilesh is better than his predecessors in dealing the local issues. As resident of UP side of NCR, we can vouch for better road conditions and police patrolling than previous time and states.
His development work is more visible in social sectors in rural areas like Health, sanitation and education.
Recently, 200MW solar projects have been awarded to renewable energy operations like Mose baer and Azure etc.
UP is facing power crises because of SC's unfavourable verdict on Reliance power plant at Dadri which could have generated enough energy for the local masses.
We have observed some pattern in crucifying SP govt.In stead of objective analysis of over all performance of the govt., critics prints out papers on some isolated cases without realising the fact that UP is much better than BJP ruled states on many counts; for ex. rape incidents.
Similar crimes are being perpetrated in the neighbouring states; but hardly we hear any noise on that.
Indian Media are highly corrupt and biased.
Just noting the surname of a writer, you may judge the tone & tenor of his write up.
Shame on Indian media.

What the central govt is doing
by Jomesh George on Jun 07, 2014 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

Why everybody is criticising Akhilesh only. Why the central Govt is not taking any actions. The state given the maximum seats for NDA.The PM himself elected from there. It is the birthplace of the Union Home Minister.Still they are not taking any actions.Vajpayee always regretted for not sending troops during godhra riots.BJP is now trying to keep away from any actions. They are waiting for getting maximum benefit that will help in next elections.

You are making comments about Central Government without knowing the law of the land. Akhilesh government is an elected government with clear majority. Unless there is a total breakdown of law and order situation or an external thereat, central government cannot interfere. Even if such a situation arises, Centre can interfere after the recommendation of Governor only.

Akhilesh gave laptops, people should change themselves. Look at BJP, gave nothing. people should respect the state, then only a leader can be respected.

It makes sense when Jaya gives laptop in TN. In UP there is need for books and decent schools with basic facilities like class room, table/bench etc.
