That Indians are perceived as different from Europeans and Americans, it seems has worked in favor here. The traditional perceptions of Hindustan has prevailed amidst chaos due to war strife. This probably can be interpreted as the fruits of Indian non-alignment policy.
This long standing goodwill for Indians in the Arab lands and beyond is a legacy which Modi government has done well to preserve. The SAARC first approach in foreign policy appears to be not discordant with perceptions in the Arab lands.
And independent polarity, contra-distinct from western world view but not antipathetic to it, is the best course open for Indian economic development and its gradually increasing impact in regional sphere and even beyond. The well reasoned fears of many respectable observers of Indian scene has been allayed by the new BJP government. This augurs well for Indian economic development and particularly the trust of minorities in the government.

But Modi govt. allegedly hesitated to act, when Oman Chandy asked for help on 13th June 2014 in this same issue. (Read newspaper, when Oman Chandy started crying for evacuation. Why delay? Why news was supressed?

moron , ummah chandy could not do anything but cry ........the nurses were stuck in ISIS teritory and there was no way to evacuate them...its due to pressure on saudi arabia who have some infuence on ISIS that they decided to release the nurses.
Well, they are free. GOI has done something spectacular, all stakeholders including all those unsung heroes deserve a pat on the back. We are a responsible nation. We did what we could. It is up-to each citizens commonsense and wise judgement, his or her fate is decided generally. If they decided to stay there, amidst the risk, who is to blame? Our Govt did everything they could do and they are free now. Period.
