Still not a clear verdict
by Krish on Jan 27, 2014 09:21 PM  | Hide replies

Looks like Modi supporters are themselves surprised by winning 200 plus. The manner in which they are celebrating is as though BJP is getting 2/3rd majority. Never write off the dynasty- however corrupt the dynasty- yes even useless Rahul is admired by hindus, let alone minorities. BJP better use strategy, get allies, and keep channels open for post-poll tieups. Stop insulting potential allies like Nitish, Mamta, Patnaik, even Mulayam. Don't try and tie up with both Karunanidhi and Jaya, Jagan and Naidu. Dump thugs like Sena brothers otherwise middle class other than MH will be put off by your scant respect for law.

@krish agreed the dynasty cannot be underestimated. However,Sena with all its ills is also a necessary element for the BJP's victory .Even BJP should not overlook Jaya to get a hold in South. But i have some reservation about Mulayam.Everything is fare when larger goal is at stake .

For Forthcomming Loksabha Election, what formola set in the Electronic Voting Machine will decide who will be the P>M> and not voters. Even if a single vote will not cast this machine will declear the winner of the candidate for P>M> This system adopted to bluf voters Delhi High Court gave a vardit that This Electronic Voting Machine is not faithfull on 18th January,2012.Hence BJPs efforts will be meaningless.

I am hopeful of BJP under NARENDRA MODI will come to power.I may request Sri MOdi,to proble all scams in the UPA1 &2 and book all culprits. Then the black money hoardings of indians in other countries are to be brought back to this country and fake currency, circulating here must be clipped and the dreaded goon Davood to be extradited or killed and then only this country can survive.

No need to be overconfident on this poll survey for BJP. No doubt the wave is in their favour at the moment but they need to focus on the booth level workers as well.Congress is punishment for arrogant , insulting Anna Hazare & Baba Ramdev and silent support to corruption.

In 2009 everyone had predicted BJP to win, and speculators have short sold futures and people got trapped as the market opened 20% and locked in the upper circuit and the market was closed for the entire day. Hope BJP wins

No one predicted BJP a majority it is prdicted for ~150 seats. Correct your fact.

According to the second Star-Nielsen poll, the Congress will win 155 seats (203 with UPA allies), while the BJP will win 147 seats (191 with NDA allies) (via TOI).

Arun Nehru at the Deccan Chronicle predicts that the Congress will win 157 seats (193 with UPA allies), compared to the 132 seats for the BJP (177 with NDA allies).

The Times of India predicts that the Congress will win 154 seats (198 with UPA allies), while the BJP will win 135 seats (176 with NDA allies).

According to The Week, the Congress will win 144 seats (198 with UPA allies), while the BJP will have to settle at 140 seats (186 with NDA allies).

India Today expects the UPA to win 196-205 seats, far ahead of the 172-181 seats for the NDA.

According to Reuters, the Congress with 139 seats will form the government, beating the BJP, which will win only 129 seats.

DNA predicts that the Congress-led UPA will win 184 seats, against the 177 seats for the BJP-led NDA.

Shreekant Sambrani at Business Standard predicts that BJP will emerge as the biggest party with 137 seats (184 seats with NDA allies), ahead of the Congress, which will win 119 seats (176 seats with UPA allies, including LJP/ RJD).
