All excellent views presented impartially with great analysis, almost as surgical as a historian. One point that could have been dwelt on , the emergence of regional parties pulling people apart on the basis of language/ regionalism (TMC/DMK/AIDMK/ShivSena/TRS), the social/caste divisions (BSP/RJD/SP), relegious divisions (BJP/SP) etc so many chasms are being sought to be deepened for the sake of political gains. One can easily see the long term inevitable ramifications- Balkanisation of India on these lines. India is a society in turmoil. And the public is behaving like mindless goats. Very sorry state of affairsm probably we need sane persons like Amrtya Sen to come to our rescue.
from rediff gets these 4th grade writers? All visible pro MODI wave they r not able to see. Finally they end up writing a scrap material, thereby degrading Rediff. This writer had a wonderful subject when Aiyar lowered himself to call MODI to serve him tea and whole of congress distanced from this dirty utterance!

When the writer criticizes Modi for having no positive agenda, is he ready for a discussion on that? Why Modi is elected 3rd time by Guj. if he is not a positive and unbiased? People should b careful with such write ups.
The media wants to hijack this election to bring the congress in power through back door called AAP..these kind of articles are dirty media tricks and one sud be careful against this dirty trap called AAP which is a shield behind which the atrocities of congress can be continued...next chance will come only after 5 years..10 years have already been eaten away along with wealth of this country by congies..pple sud ignore this sold out media tricks
