by aditya banyal on Jan 16, 2014 02:54 PM

On what basis does this idiot say that BJP is down. After winning historic wins in Rajasthan, MP and Chhatissgarh, and being the single largest party in Delhi, he means BJP is down, then this man Bidwai needs to be sent to a mental asylum somewhere.

AAP way forward
by thyagathur chandrashekar on Jan 16, 2014 02:50 PM

It is required to do a lot of home work for AAP core team. Since it is a bunch of educated lot, they need to think unitedly what is required to be done on immediate term, short term, medium term and long term. If we look at the type of people joining AAP, they are either a intellectual lot or celebrities(past or current). However this type of lot is not so useful in policy structuring, administration,..etc since most of their life is spent without really experiencing the ground realities and are far away from the realities of life.

To whom it may concern about Aam Aadmi Party
by abhishek mawle on Jan 16, 2014 02:35 PM  | Hide replies

Sir,

At the outset.I salute Mr.Binny who has revealed the internal working
of Aam Aadmi Party either for good of people or for lack of meeting
his own objectives.I feel the press conference of Aam Aadmi Party was
Just window dressing. Also I feel taking any disciplinary action
against Mr Binny is wrong, unjustifiable and unwarranted.More press
conferences are required of this kind to get the truth out in the open and for corrective action to be taken.

1) The Delhi manifesto of Aam Aadmi Party clearly say in its first
line itself "Commitment to passing Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill within 15
days of coming to power" The Delhi Government was formed on December
28,2013 today it is January 16,2013.It is almost 19 days what happened
to Aam Aadmi Party promise.

2) The Water promise that we gave on upto 700 Liters is like jugglery
with words.I think we are deceiving people (Aam Aadmi of Delhi) on
this front,we need to give people 700 liters water free to all people
and anything over and above the same must be charged and not the
entire additional usage along with the initial 700 liters. This promise
looks more like an insurance policy of $ 10 million with riders saying
if you die at night your claim would be void for which we ask the
subscriber to pay hefty premium.

3) I am also informed that AAP leader Kumar Vishwas has been replaced
noted Hindi poet and satirist Ashok Chakradhar as the vice-chairperson
of Hindi Academy under the Delhi government according to a report in
The Ind

according to a report in
The Indian Express.

The post of vice-chairperson of the academy, which comes under the
Delhi government and is headed by the chief minister, is an honorary
title and the appointment is done by the CM's office.

Is Mr Arvind Kejriwal Acting any different than the previous congress
and BJP Governments by indulging in nepotism by appointing his near
and dear ones on prestigious posts, he should instead form a search
committee and appoint the person based on the findings of the search
committee.

My Suggestions on screening Committee changes

1) After receiving all the applications from prospective candidates
for a single constituency, all of the applications must be displayed
online in PDF format.

2) Each criteria of selection should have certain weight age in
points and the criteria for this point system and the weight age must
be displayed on the website at least 1 month before the screening
process

3) Points should be given against each candidate application and after
the points are awarded against each application then must be displayed
on the website in PDF Format and the top 5 highest points holders
only must be shortlisted.

3) No volunteer will be identified/declared as 'active volunteer' and
their opinion will be sought on the shortlist of candidates on the
opinion seeking day.The volunteer should be declared active at least 6
months prior to the date of seeking their opinion and his name be
displayed on the website against the particular

against the particular constituency otherwise
the screening committee will declare any X,Y,or Z as an active
volunteer and rig the opinion in favor of or against a certain
candidate.

3) The name of active volunteers who would gather together at
constituency level meetings and would rank the candidates by means of
preferential voting. This process would be carried out by a secret
ballot under the supervision of 3 independent people of renown
integrity, repute and who do not have any affiliation with the party,
the results of which would be made available on the website of the
party.

4) There should be a weight age of points fixed for preferential
voting and for the other criteria,Example: If the candidate is
courageous, has a vision for bringing in systemic change in
Delhi, understands all aspects and nuances of Direct Democracy
(swaraj),has learned opinions on broad range of issues, has respect for
every caste and religion etc.Their thoughts on various issues and
opinion held by the public at large about them and the weight age must
be displayed on the website at least 1 month before the screening
process.

5) I hope the above steps would bring transparency and if any of the
above steps are violated by the screening committee they must be
suspended from the party for the first offense and for a subsequent
offense expelled from the party.

If the Party leadership does not mend its ways to become more
responsible, accountable and transparent. Then you may count me out of
the supporters of the party.

One indian start peeing, the others follow the same. That happened in Delhi. AK made emotional statements of anti corruption, freebies and befooled Delhites. It is bound to bouce back the poor voters. Beware next time, vote for Modi and keep a watch on his performance.
