I see that some people have taken this article on the wrong side and started political discussions. Read the article in full. It is clearly mentioned that Mr Modi never asked Mr Nambi about Mr Sreekumar and he was more interested to know if any foreign hand is involved. His main concern was that if a foreign agency could influence Indian agency to file a case against a scientist to delay development of a technology, it will prove fatal to all development activities. Such activities should be curbed in the beginning and anyone involved should be severely punished. I definitely see a genuine concern in Mr Modi's action and salute to him. Let him be the next PM and prove his worth. Why jump to conclusions?

There are sevrel cases where the act of the inttelegence officers on behalf of their politician bosses damaging the reputation of innocent people. In teh above case when SC found that the case was a fradulant one framed by Intellegence people the court should have orderd hanging of such corrupt intellegent officers. Then only real investigation will take place. Indian Police do not have fear on teh law of land they simply do things to please their political boss.

Trusted? These IAS / IPS officers are allinated to any one of teh political parties. Else they will not survive in India. Why these people acted against teh law of land even if their political boss ask them to do so. They have taken oth on constitution nor on the party. So there is no wrong in these people suffering

More to it than meets the eye!
by Ulhas Kulkarni on Feb 27, 2014 01:09 PM  | Hide replies

Investigating agencies are unlikely to know about the what is going on inside a scientific institution of strategic importance. And are unlikely to interfere unless called upon to do so by a bureaucrat in a high position. Since this is a very old case, it is quite likely that some of the real culprits have retired or are no more. Further investigations should therefore focus not only on doing justice to the aggrieved scientist but also on future improvement in the working of the scientific institutions. A post mortem at this stage may not help a great deal.
