82 yr old, resigns Governorship, want to return active politics?
by pa siramu on Aug 24, 2014 11:40 PM

Resigning Governorship, want to join politics will show the partiality of Governor towards parent party. Instead, he should enjoy life with his grand children, appreciate possible social work.

Sankaranarayanan, a 82-year-old
by Sheetal Kaur on Aug 24, 2014 11:30 PM

He should have left his post 20 years ago and paved the way for a younger minister then him.
Young blood, with young thoughts and energy would have been better then a 82 years old geriatric, with rusty brain and backwards thinking.
it is these so called minister who should be doing a pilgrimage to the country's temples are holding the progress of India to virtual stand still.
It is high time all above the age of 65 should be compulsory retired.
For me his resignation is most welcome.

Shame on the GOI
by sunil ananda on Aug 24, 2014 11:18 PM  | Hide replies

Mizoram seems to be a outpost of the modi government where governors who were found unfavourable to them where shunted off.Much like the Gulag in Siberia or the black hole of the Andamans. These are all shameful acts of the government of Modi who cannot find legitimate methods to have the governors removed.

These are perfectly legal & legitimate ways! Stop talking like a moron! If the morality of the governor is not addressed by themselves, BJP or GOI cant help.

another congressi white elephant out; congratulations, namo
by shilpy on Aug 24, 2014 11:10 PM

namo has one governor covering several sates. nice so far. what would be nicer if namo-appointed governors live in a two bedroom flat, and all raj bhavans sold for developments into hotels, much like most palaces have been.

North East region of the country is the strongest vote bank for Congress however they have totally neglected these states and done very little for them. Modi has given the attention and importance to North East region within three month on coming to power, Congress has not done so in their six decades of rule. The allergy and dislike to become Mizoram Governor by Shankarnarayan, ex Governor of Maharashtra say everything.

Mr S should have seen the writing on the wall n resigned earlier with self-respect.He tried to hang on n then give it a constitutional colour. He was totally partial to Congress, his real masters but trying to show off that he is impartial n doing constructive work.He was trying to enjoy his post n would have done so for 3 more yrs when he would have been 85.He could have done his constructive work in Mizoram where it is really needed rather than in Kerala. It is good that he has been terminated.

He has stated that he will return to active politics at the age of 82 which clearly indicate that he was appointed for political purpose by the congress to see party interest.
