A very good article on BKSI and BKS Yoga. I happen to witness a live program conducted at Donbosco School grounds at Wadala/Matunga and it is amazing to see the full grounds with kids to seniors to get his practical hand. He moved around the students and with just a quick spark correct the posture never see the gender but the glow of yoga posture is in his eyes. No special avatar and in his casual shorts he is yoga and yoga and yoga nothing else. His students and teaching fraternity would be missing a master never replaced by any second one though taught under him.

Brilliant write up. I had heard of the great man but never knew the details of the physical and financial hardships that shaped him and made him a legend. Such an inspirational life. Thank you Shameem.

It is articles like these that draw me to Rediff. Otherwise Rediff has degraded to a large extent. Its decided to go for semi nude and titillating photos of so called 'celebrities' and similar content.
