BKS Iyengar was a great person who never promoted himself using his brahmin heritage. On the other hand, he once told me at IIT Madras, where he spoke on yoga, that a brahman is not special and that every one must be given equal importance regardless of his community of birth. I was greatly inspired by his philosophy and approach.

Traitors Congressis, Miss10nary S0n1@ and the other mafia gang have deliberately suppressed the authentic Hindu practices, and forced the media to ignore publicizing our contributions to the world....

F0015 like Nehru, Gandhi destroyed the confidence and spirit of HIndus and made them feel inferior to the West....

Besides, Nehru was a very good Yoga practitioner himself. Check facts before posting.

That is a very good point. BKS Iyengar was unique. Tendulkar was an average player who was hyped up by our useless brahmin brothers.

There is no comparison.. One of the greatest Yogis and a contemporary of Pathanjali, Thirumoolar wrote, "The bliss I attained, I wish for everyone in this world".. BKS cured himself through Yoga and believed that he should take it to a wider population... He spread the joy around... Tendulkar has 100 cars in his basement.. To feed the soul, Valluvar says, iithal isaipada vaazhthal... Give and Live with Fame through giving.... BKS gave all he knew about Yoga to the larger world..

Chinese pay rich tributes to Yoga guru Iyengar
by Mind Clear on Aug 20, 2014 08:30 PM  | Hide replies

Aug. 20 (PTI) -- Yoga enthusiasts in China paid rich
tributes to world-renowned Yoga Guru B K S Iyengar
who passed away in a Pune hospital early today.
Iyengar 95, whose books have been translated into
Chinese, is one of the most widely read Indian
authors in China. He drew massive crowds when he
visited China in 2011 and started his first Chinese
centre at Guangzhou where the Indian Consulate
recently held first Yoga summit in which his
daughter Geetha Iyengar participated. "We pay
tribute to the master with a heavy heart. You
light shine in our hearts forever the way forward
for our guidance," a microblog post of the Indian
Consulate Guangzhou said. Yoga classes are
quintessential part of all Gyms in China today.
