India needs an educated, alert, innovative,capable to implement- modern Person as HR Minister as a lot to be done in this field to lift India. Along with infrastructure, contents of subjects being taught,subjects being covered in a course make the difference. Use CBSE for all school boards which will improve Indian school education 30% as state boards are just not up to the mark. Universities are junk just getting salary from Govt like defence. Improve them by asking to teach useful courses and subjects and let them earn from industry 25% of revenue ,the same is to be done in defence.
The whole controversy has been blown out of proportion. In the beginning even I felt that the HRD Minister is being judged by her distractors on unessential premises. But to claim a mere certificate of attendance in a week-long programme as a "degree" from a foreign university! It is absurdity extreme! Mr. Mr Modi! Are you watching? Do you tolerate all this nonsense? Can you afford doing so?

We had so many illiterate and also unwise ministers and CMs over the last so many years and we also know the whole system is rotten and as time passes lesser and lesser number of decent people want to get in to politics -so there is no need to keeping repeating lies and win the hearts of people by being ethical ,values based and beliefs -and good performance

Either you are a liar, or you don't read news. Rahul's degree is from Cambridge, nor Harvard. The copy of the certificate is published in Indian Express and many others. The uni itself has comfirmed it. So what now?

of course i read news. google Rahul Gandhi: Gen-Y to the rescue in time of india. it says the following: Education : Studied at St Columba's, Delhi; History honours at St Stephens. Did not have
the requisite marks for the course, but was given admission in the sports quota for shooting, amid accusations of using the Gandhi name. Masters in Economics from Harvard, Development Economics at Trinity College Cambridge, also did an engineering design course in software.

this lie about being Masters in Economics from Harvard continued until finally it was off from his resume upon questioning by subramanian swamy.
I think she does not have the basics understanding or the vision for this portfolio and she is doing blunders like proposing IISC to a 3 year course. Modi pls change her portfolio here and probably have a person who is highly educated like Arun Shourie. Thelast thing India can afford is to loose its competitive advantage of education.
