It is surprising that why HRD minister tries to prove her academic credentials where as her position in BJP leadership is a greater qualification for her present position
it is not clear what prompted yale to issue this statement. did any congressi specifically request it? surely, yale is not pre-occupied with the indian politics to be issuing statement so promptly upon smriti's vain claim - luckily, she did not make this claim on her election papers, unlike sonia who claimed a cambridge degree. there is no doubt that smriti must be held to account. dishonesty must not be tolerated.

sleepy, Gandhis never made false affidavits or tall claims on TV. Otherwise you Sanghis would have been hounding them by now.

She must be correct - a degree and a participation certificate are SAME. Let her introduce such 'degree' courses in India to benefit million. AS HRD minister she can!

Instead of giving scope to the critics who are always up to grab an opportunity to lash out at the BJP who has given them a cause to be frustrated after the humiliated defeat in the elections, Mrs. Irani sud complete the incomplete graduation or do a private graduation afresh or otherwise take everything into stride and let the dirty mouth speak whatever they like...the capabilities of the critics be it their showcase PM or HRD minister is not a hidden fact now.

Rahgu is absolutely correct. Blind supporters (I am also a Modi supporter - but like Madu Kishwar, not a blind one)are diverting the issue intentionally.
Degree is only useful for employees. Tagore, one of the most brilliant and creative minds of India, left University College London (the same college where Gandhi Ji went too), after first year as he didn't feel it worthwhile to complete it. Gates, Jobs and Zuckerbergs are left colleges after joining it. a lot of great writers never went near a college wall. They are all more successful than you will ever will be. Only people with clerical mindset keep looking for degrees.

Bhakt logic i guess, if that is so then why say it is a degree when it is just a 7 day certification course which practically any body can get.
