These attitudes are normal for backward people. Both Indian and Pakistani societies have extremely backward populations living as sub human slaves.
Preoccupation with superiority of country, nation, people, culture, religion etc. is a type of backward attitude. Modern people would not associate superiority with such matters or attach great importance to superiority. Even if a country, nation, people, culture, religion etc. is accepted as superior to others, it does not matter. It is like arguing about superiority of some art work. It might be superior in some sense but how does it matter for people at large, and no one should loose their rights because of it.
Provocative and scientific knowledge makes people modern, able to think rationally, reject narrow attitudes, and love freedom of thought for all. However this kind of knowledge is largely absent in the population of these two countries. They are hundreds of years backward.
... these temples as magnificent? These seem to be very small compared with any of the good temples in India. Although I could definitely say that the size of temple does not matter.

Whole world is Hindu. Everybody needs to build the Temple within Oneself establishing the Idols i.e. Objectives in Life, through the development of the Body, Mind, Emotions, Intellect, Creativity and Consciousness. Vasudhaiva Kutumbam -- The World is One Family.
Idols are Ideas or Ideals which remind us of the Universal Human Objectives in Life: Shiva (Freedom with responsibility; staying away from Death and Self-Destruction) Durga (Pursuing Strength in Life) Saraswati (Pursuing Knowledge in Life) Ganesh (Pursuing Wisdom in Life) Kartik (Be adventurous, diplomatic and warrior like in Life)
Is there a book about how minorities live in Puk15tan and how the majority in that country treats them?
It would fascinating to remind the ungrateful minority living in India how much better it is to be a minority in India than in Puk15tan the next time they complain about being treated unfairly in India!
