“Educationist Dina Nath Batra, ……………………………………….. likely to recommend changes in school textbooks to suitably ‘Indianise’ them”----- What is wrong in our Children learning the ‘correct’ history of our country and civilization , instead of the ‘concocted’ history written by the British and the Communist-leaning ‘Intellectuals’ who had their own agenda? Both of them wanted us to think that our culture was ‘outdated’ and our ancestors were ‘fools’, so that they could break our confidence and rule over us. At the moment our children learn about the Mughal Invasion and the Mughal Rule, the ‘development’ during the British Rule and the Independent struggle minus the leaders who were not part of the elite Nehru Group. What is needed is a knowledge of our ancient culture, philosophy, our ancient knowledge about mathematics, astronomy, medicine, metallurgy, architecture, agriculture, irrigation and what not. And I feel that this move will be a right one.

do you know what the correct history is? does dinanath batra know what the correct history is? do you know what is dialectic? do you know that there is no such name Hindu in our scriptures? if we are so great as a culture, how come we are not able to defeat the muslim and british invaders? we allowed a handful of invaders to subjugate a 'great' nation - do you know that? do you know that the caste system is the most heinous form of apartheid? do you have the guts go down the sewers amidst, faeces, condoms, sanitary napkins, etc etc to clear the blockage? if you wear, shirt, tshirt, jeans, pants, take western medicines, read and write english, see movies, tv, play cricket, tennis, football etc etc etc then you will be accused of hypocrisy

Exactly. This is what they dont want, ranjit roy kind of kids (who hate their own culture). Any European nation history is full of violence, but their textbook reflects only the good deeds done by them, so that the future kids learn good things...

you seem to be quite mixed up in the head. a great culture/civilization doesnt automatically mean a great military nation, to wade off invasions the way you have likened in your outburst above. for a minute forget whether you or i would go down the sewer (neither of us have),the fact remains people were needed to do the job and this was a job description to be carried out. Who carried out and why is a matter of debate. that doesnt mean we start hating ourselves. Macaulay's education spoilt us alright, by making us look at ourselves with hatred. You are a classical product of that. Macaulay also spoilt us by learning english, we are aproduct of that.

no one is hating anyone. there are good and bad aspects of any culture, race, civilisation and to romanticise the past and ignore the chronic and perpetual ills is mills and boon thinking. by the time the muslims and then the british ruled us, we were too balkanised in terms of language, race, etc. to be united. every invader took this opportunity to conquer us. if the french had defeated the british, we would be speaking french, sipping wine, and playing football, not cricket. you are also a child of macaulay the moment you converse in english. the fact that you make such a broad sweeping statement - You are a classical product of that. Why was the same question not asked when Sonia Gandhi and the National Advisory council (NAC) all loaded with Anti-India "intellectuals" was controlling the Government and its policies under Dr. Manmohan Singh. Whoever controls the Modi government is not a matter until the direction in which it is going to bring prosperity to the country and its people is correct.

Nothing wrong if RSS runs the government.After all they are nationalists and they are not like oldest party which has looted country's assets.
