After a long time one has seen such an excellent commentary on Mamata Banerjee and her brand of lumpen politics. The common man of Bengal is in for a major betrayal as none of his aspirations are going to be met. At least the communists had some thinking. Mamata seems to be leading Bengal into anarchy. One feels sad for a state which was at the forefront of industry and culture to be brought to this level of degradation. One only hopes that the tide will turn this election.

23 years ago Lenin-Raja was 'Khan-khan' in saint petersburg(erstwhile leningrad); and in 2011 communists have been defeated democratically in West Bengal - Ms Mamata Banerjee led the party to defeat communists in Bengal.
While communists were in power in WB for 34 years, they were behaving like stalin-goons. Today they are struggling for survival, 34 years' hangover still continuing - they are seen with the chanda-book for party-fund even now. (I have never seen any TMC worker demanding 'chanda'). Communist-cadres have not yet forgotten bullying the ordinary citizen.
Many left minded journalists are babbling same dialogues; but where is the substitute? Bengal Congress is indeed like 'PoN of shehnai' for left front. Give some time to BJP (Tathagata Roy's party) to make a strong foothold in WB and take over the reign. They have to show/prove that they care for 42-seat Bengal, merely referring to Shyamaprasad Mukherjee will not attract even the staunch hindus of WB.
So, left minded journalists will be further disappointed when BJP gets successful in the state of West Bengal.
Vande Maataram. Jai Hind.

The left cadres became arrogant and thought they would remain in power as long as Sun or moon will exists. The voters in West Bengal threw them out of power. The same fate is awaiting for the TMC as their government failed to perform.

with the kind of mandate she is enjoying till date I wish some body could tell her that the running govt is a team work. Here in bengal it seems she is the bowler who is bowling from both the end. She is the CEO who should depute right person at right place without interfering in all affairs.

Bengalis in Bengal will never go beyond, coffee house adda, rock baji, michchil, poem & blog writing on social networks, trade unionism to stop industrial works, missing from work in offices, non productive debates.

Only those who left Bengal made some mark in post Independence India. For the rest it is cholchche cholbe.
