How could he represent the strength of bharat, and his daughter did not show any better grasp did thins in hurry and worry, and murdered democracy by revising preamble in the draknight of emergency, and gave crutches to the reactionary forces that emerged after that that you see in her-keri parties , SPs, comies , Jda, TMC . Do they look like they represent the idae of bharat. Of course NO>

Panchshila
by Anil Tandale on Apr 30, 2014 06:53 PM

Panchshila means five stones, but in reality five mill stones around the neck of India, they are Budha, Mahavir, Ashoka, Gandhi and Nehru. Each of them made India timid for centuries, and rendered this one billion brainy nation as bunch of nincompoops.

Ghost of Panchsheel......
by Dattaprasad Prabhu on Apr 30, 2014 12:47 PM  | Hide replies

Chairman Mao was never out of PRC during 1949-1962. Whenever circumstances demanded, he ordered his FM Zau En Layi to go on foreign tasks. Nehru was flying high under the name of World Peace and wandering wherever possible from Dacar to Bandung to London to NY to Moscow to Tokyo at the cost of poor Indian's public exchequer. He held 35 depts under him (foreign affairs inclusive), 7 of which required extra-ordinary IQ. During 1955-56, he was 137 days out of 220 working days out of homeland as per Feroz Gandhi's stared query in the Parliament. What else you want?

Mr Walker
we forgot the cocept of a nation
by Mr Walker on Apr 30, 2014 11:18 AM

Nehru never really understood the concept of a nation he was possibly to selfish and power crazy.

When we form a nation the basic concept is that we the people and the landmass are going to stay together and anyone who agrees with our ideas and wants to be with us should be taken in.

Also there will always be divisive forces trying to break this nation and those should be kept at bay.

In this regard Nehru and Gandhi lost Pakistan (part of India), kashmir, tibet (wanted to align with india) and even today we see that defeatist divisive policy in the congress mindset.

The way these people think is that if they get the good life at expense of others its ok this does not work for a nation.

by Anil Bharali on Apr 30, 2014 08:54 AM

NEHRU WAS PROGRESSIVE, AND SARDAR PATEL WAS PRO ANGLO- AMERICAN . THAT WAS THE INNER CONTRADICTION OF CONGRESS PARTY . THE RECENT DECLASSIFIED CIA DOCUMENTS SAY CIA SPENT 1.7 MILLION DOLLAR PER YEAR TILL 1968 AGAINST CHINA IN TIBET.

Historical blunderr
by ASHEESH KUMAR on Apr 30, 2014 08:31 AM

Panchseel was a historical blunder by Nehru. This is something good for school book text books, but not in virtual politics.Nehru thought and believed that the entire world thinks like him.His earlier mis adventure in Kashmir in 1947-48 resulted in POK formation, and is still unresolved till date.He even blundered in 1962 war by not using Air Force. He was a total failure and his misrule has been the darkest chapter post freedom.India lost wars, and territory under Nehru.Nobody understood his Chinese policy except perhaps himself ! He even refused a UN Security Council seat which was offered to India. He sggested that same be offered to China first ! Amazing indeed. And why did he agree to the partition of India ? Maybe he was in a hurry to become PM. For India Nehru turned out to be a big liability.

What could have happened
by Dipak Bose on Apr 30, 2014 06:55 AM

In 1950 there were milions of refugees came from Pakistan and were coming continuously. To accomodate then nehru could have send all the Muslims to Pakistan. He did nothing.
In 1950, when China invaded Tibet, Nehru could have approached USA for help. Nehru did nothing.
