Re: Sant Chatwal pleads guilty to violating US electoral laws

he is middle man in most of the arms deals USA has with india and countries friendly with india he is purely business man not saint it will be big surprise if he declares himself a saint after bribing ministry of defence of many countries including india?
There are restrictions as to how much a person can contribute to politicians for elections. People like Sant Chatwal have been on the limelight because of their belief that being closer to the politicians will be beneficial for their business and self aggrandizement. People like us cannot afford to make such large contributions nor a small donation of $20. Best is if you have a motive contribute otherwise stay away; but contribute the maximum the law provides.
Re: He was given Padma Bhushan

BJP had objected to his Padma Bhushan at that time. "Gopinath Munde, deputy leader of the BJP in the Lok Sabha, wrote to the President and Prime Minister expressing disapproval over the government’s decision, BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said. Munde’s letter says that Chatwal’s controversial financial dealings make him undeserving of the honour."
Another glorious act by the Con-gress who foisted whats-her-name as president on us vs Abdul Kalam.
