you can earn 50% more in Meghalaya than in Gujarat .. !! If that were true, Gujarathis would migrate to Meghalaya! In Arunachal pradesh you can earn more than double of what you earn in Gujarat ... this data does not seem realistic.

Gujaratis has migrated everywhere, look around you again! They even speak the most perfect tamil, telugu, kannada when needed. Mumbai is full of them, and will always be. You need to start looking at things objectively.
Although it is not necessarily a refection on the Modi government, it does temper his claims a tad, don't you think? Now wait for his salvo.
It is about which kind of salary? Do daily wage is more in Jharkhand,UP Bihar more than KERALA,KARNATAKA? In kerala even a Coolie gets not less than Rs.500 a day.Minimum wages for hotel workers, shopping malls etc.not less than Rs.300 a day.
It seems that most of the north east states are showing very high earnings. Now these are the states who does not have large scale industries, good infrastructure etc.
What could be the reasons behind such high earnings for the people of those north eastern states.

The reason behind high earning is...all men have migrated to other parts of the conutry... and only women reside(similar case to kerela) This is not a feasible model of developement, where husband goes to work in different state and wife is being enjoyed by neighbours
Earning doesn't have any meaning unless one knows how much is the net saving one can achieve in a given location. Due to geographical concentration of services and industries, earnings will definitely have disparity and so are the expenses incurred. The real yardstick would be the saving potential, rather than the gross earnings.
