Racist Comments
by Sunil G Bhosekar on Sep 20, 2013 10:19 PM

It is really disheartening to learn about racist comments against the Miss America of Indian descent. It confirms that the equal rights boasted by the people of USA is a hoax and somewhere deep the racial supremacy still runs

Not sure why people in India are so upset at white Americans. White supremacy is pretty strong in North India - dying the hair brown, wearing color contacts, hating Tibetans, people from Nepal, Nagaland, Assam, as well as darker south Indians. Clean up the mess in your own family before getting angry at another country.

Very well put. Indians are obsessed with white skin. People from the north east are considered foreigners. People in glass houses should not throw stones at others.

even "Albino voice" Fox news has gone crazy about her. It's time to celebrate the original Dravidian race of India. Long live the Dravidian race!

When you want to sell American goods to India, make Aishwarya Rai and others Miss world.

When you want to sell American FDI to India, make ugly Indian_woman Miss_america !

It is all about selling consumer goods in the Indian market.

Beaking barriers
by Santa on Sep 20, 2013 08:37 PM

She thinks that barriers have been broken just because she has been declared Miss USA. Ask any whiteAmerican, in private, on what they think about her and you would get to know how strong the barriers are. Just because the judges acted on the instructions of sponsors of this event, she thinks that they selected her based on her beauty and knowledge :-) Anyway, all the best to her. It would have been interesting to see if she would have been declared a winner had she participated in this event without tonnes of makeup, waxing and bleaching, to look fairer than what she actually is.

because she knows that all the promises she has made to the corporate have to be fulfilled now...she will be busy for the next few months before these white horses get tired of this saltry skin. and then they will throw this in the dustbeen...any way how these whites like brown skin, it has become clear already...why these corporate who sponsor such incidents have to be different any way..

Here is the misconception..
by simanta pathak on Sep 20, 2013 07:09 PM

ok people here is the deal.. the Miss America contestants wont be as good looking as Miss India ones, dont try to compare the scenario here in the US with that of India. Here Miss America is not such a glamorous thing and people dont give that much attention like that in India. Most people dont even know when it was who won it.. it was popular may be about 40-50 years back, but now its considered a boring and outdated show.. its nothing of a big deal for most Americans..
