Re: America is superb

Lots of things to learn from USA. Right now Madam Sonia is having sleepless nights after BJP announced PM nominee. She Just has no answer to Good governance of Mr Modi.
Absolutely true. She's too dark-skinned to be considered for Miss India contest.. It's sad. Also, those north eastern gals don't have a chance either.. What else do you expect in a country obessed with lighter skin ?
The writer is correct. Indians are more racist than Westerners. Forget racism... there is regionalism too.... Maharashtrians acted against Southies in the 1970's and then against Biharis now. But, even Westerners are racist... difference is they can hide it well.
Please don't go overboard and read too much into this marketing gimmick by the beauty product companies, who are typically the sponsors of these events. Just because this 1ady has been crowned Miss USA doesn't mean that the racism in the hearts of white Americans has vanished. Whether it is India or USA or any other country, people feel that fair skin is desirable and that's the bottom line. Could anybody please tell me if Nina hasn't put any make-up at all, during this competition, or probably did not go for waxing and bleaching, to look fairer than she actually is?
not even once mongolian type of features...then wat about Zeenat...Shushmita Sen was dusky who went on to become Miss Universe..Juhi chawla was pure Indian in her looks and height..the list goes on...or you wanna against selection of north Indians...

That's so true. I have travelled across the North Indian states of Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, J&K and UP and found most of the citizens falling under the 'dark skinned' category, except J&K. The notion that North Indians in general are fair skinned is a fallacy.
