Change
by Yastika Basu on Oct 08, 2013 02:36 PM

There can only be change when educated/ knowledgeable masses opt for change without being forced to.
Are 50 % Indians educated ? Qualified -yes , educated - no
Political parties-A system of catering incentives which involve bureaucrats businessmen as to the lowliest.Media is not exempt.
Are there no good or caring individual ? Plenty but these people do not have the power.
Our people have become used to the defaultering betraying politician so much , now they trust the 'buck " more than 'promises .'
Way out-The few educated must examine the individual candidate and not the collective party.A good individual with minimal power at least does not harm , a wicked candidate from a good party with plenty of power will definitely harm society.

Dr.Kiran Bedi Retd.IPS is quite optimistic and I feel she is genuinely right in her perception as her optimism stands on logic and appeals to every common man. Its a law of the nature that everything comes to an end later or sooner and now the time for eradication of corruption is near by. M.K.Chauhan,

PRAKASH DESAI

by PRAKASH DESAI on Oct 08, 2013 11:49 AM

Ma'm, the main problem, i think is that if the voters don't give clear mandate, then naturally the party that will rule by support will become handicap. And we know the past of regional parties. They are there for their own bite, only. Again the same picture. You people must convey the importance,to the people,of choosing any one party in the interest if nation. Not only that almost every politicians are moving towards dynasty, by promoting their children & manifesting their agenda.People must think over it, otherwise this things will further damage the future of indians.

When madam, llook today President's son meets Lalu in jail
by Balaraman on Oct 08, 2013 11:24 AM  | Hide replies

A very Disgraceful act by our President's son who is an M P. Most likely one of the 40% criminals and thugs in our Parliament.

Our politicians are experts in glorifying convicts like Lalu by visiting them and they are worshiped as heroes when they come out of the jail. This is nothing but degradation of values and principles. Why, a Son of the President, who is an M.P should visit. The authorities of the jail should refuse entry until Lalu comes out on bail or comes out clean from the verdict of the Honorable Court. THESE POLITICIANS ARE SHAMING INDIA.

BJP will win hands down if she is made the Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi. All other leaders are waiting in the wings to continue in the good path trodden by Sheila Dixit.

Impending political change
by joseph on Oct 08, 2013 11:23 AM  | Hide replies

I am sorry, don,t be too optimistic. The changes that have happened are far too little. The politicians have not learnt yet. Without corruption they can,t survive, so somehow they are managing hang around. For instance congress is hoping to rope in the small benefits given to poor illiterate rural folks, and BJP is also not a clean party. So the public are now in between the devil and the sea. Third front is a kitchedy, waiting for instability. Congress will ask for stability. BJP could have been an alternative long back, but because of RSS. The RSS philosophy will never work in a plural society like India. So a clear political alternative has to emerge. Possibly AAP and Lok Satta can provide such an alternative provided all the democratic educated forces give them support. Unless CBI is made more autonomous, Lokpal bill, stopping corporate funding of Political parties, taking the immunity coverage to Politicians and Bureaucrats, things will not improve. RTI and NOTA are only the beginning, the rest must follow, then only India can have a brihgt future.

Why churches are a asking Christians to vote for Congress party. Can you point out whether at any time Modi talked on RSS. He all ways talk on good Governance and development. Modi is altogether a different person. I have not heard he met RSS Chief after his elevation as prime ministerial candidate of BJP
