What is so great about it?
Gandhi looks like any average Gujarati male!
There is nothing great about Gandhi!
He preached non-violence a concept he read about in the Bible and practiced it so that his British masters would not be harmed by angry Indians who outnumbered the British!
Why all the ruckus about how great Gandhi was when it is nothing but a huge lie?!
I. Gandhi did not believe in nonviolence. He always undertook fast upto "deaths". This is nothing but another form of violence.
ii. Gandhi did not believe in democrary. He was a dictator. His wife and sons rebelled against his dictatorship. He forced netaji to resign although he enjoyed popular support.
iii. Gandhi mixed religion and politics. He supported Khilafat movement which had got nothing to do with india.
iv. He opposed modern techonology, but enjoyed all its inventions ie. railways, ships, telegram, newspaper, etc
v. He paid lip service to backward classess. He oppossed ambedkar tooth and nail. Ensured his defeat in the elections.
vi. Jinnah was a englishman with all the qualities of kafirs. in comparision Gandhi appeared religious, chanted gita, undertook fast, evening bhajans, etc. His appearance of pious hindu created suspicion in the minds of muslims.
Finally Gandhi did not get us freedom. The credit goes to Hitler who broke the british bones. That explains that small countries like singapore got freedom before us.

Since 1857 Indians tried to get freedom thru the means of violance & they failed miserably. MK had novel way to get the freedom , do not discredit him. Had it been any other country you could be hanged for making such comments for the father of the nation.

if gandhi has not done anything for this country of for this world. WHAT THIS BIHARIS, BENGALIS, AND OTHER CANCER COMMUNITIES OF THIS COUNTRY HAVE DONE FOR INDIA SINCE LAST 100O YEARS. HAVE YOU EVER IMAGINED WHY BIHAR, BENGAL, UP STILL CONSIDERED BACKWARD, THE BIGGEST REASON FOR THAT IS THEIR BACKWARD MENTALITY AND ALWAYS GOOD IN CRITICIZEING OTHERS. SAME AT THIS GENTLEMAN dARASHIKHO THEY HAVE BEEN LIKE THIS SINCE CENTURIES. BIHARIS ARE VULGAR, AND WANTS TO REMAIN LIKE THAT.
THEY DO NOT WANT TO DO ANYTHING FOR THEMSELVES OR FOR THIS COUNTRY, AND ONLY THOSE IDIOTS WILL CRITICIZE THIS MAN

If you study you can know the shocking truth that this man had illegal physical relation with many girls, women and widows even in his old age also which he confessed in his own writing.
It is unfortunate that people form negative opinions about Mahatma even without making least effort to understand his contributions and what he stands for. It is not my suggestion not to have critical analysis of Mahatmas ideas and methods. But, anyone who spent effort in understanding Mahatma would know how small and uninformed we are. In the Book - May it Please Your Honour written by Gopal Godse- the book was banned for long time, even Nathuram Godse has acknowdged Mahatama's patriotism, discipline and commitment.
It does not help a nation to disown its Father. Do you think that every leader at that time were so helpless as to follow Mahatma- who had neither the wealth nor the style?. It was Mahatma who transformed freedom movement into a national phenomenon. India did not have the firepower and organisation to resist the well-armed Britishers and hence non-violent movement. He has given the world the ideals of Dharma to be followed in political affairs. Had he desired he would have become the PM and amassed wealth. He kept nothing for himself. How many leaders would dare to do this. Are you aware that he dared the Judge to order imprisonment? It was Mahatma who proclaimed that it was the duty of every citizen to disobey law, if law promotes injustice. Let us learn sacrifice, discipline, self-lessness, truthfulness from Mahatma. Ordinary mortals need more effort to understand Mahatma. So, please read and study more of Mahatma before trashing him. That is the least you can do to him who toiled by self-denial when we in the comfort of Air conditioned office choose to disown him.
