To me, its an Yes and No. I do this by comparing myself and my father. Yes. I am much more braver than my father. Because, I take decisions much faster than my father would do. But, the other part of me says that "No. Because, I tend to compare what my father was doing when he was about 50 to what I am now doing when I am at 35". I have to weigh that in when I myself turn 50 and how I take decisions. I do not want to attack the author personally. But, I atleast tend to assume reading author's profile that he observes people at a 35000 feet level. Very limited number of people are employed in entertainment industry and we have a widely diverse demography in this country. Youth of India include TV professionals, software professionals, government staff, station masters, police, military, nurses, shop vendors etc., Does this apply to all those sections? Not necessarily. While I am very happy about Indian youth, we should not be complacent. I have also noticed at my workplace that the current generation of engineers do not think innovatively but a handful of 40 year and 50 year olds are coming out with innovative ideas to do things better. I am not intending to show them in a bad light but we would be committing a cardinal sin by feeling positive about our current state. We must consolidate our strength and adopt a lot of good things from our heritage. A blended approach would serve us better than an approach polarized towards modernism.
Mr.raghuram To the time of infinity bharath wont loose its heritage and cultural values its not all about bashing hinduism please get trained or learn sanatan dharma and comment just because somebody is a public figure and what he says cannot be truth first learn meaning of satya in sanatanadharma and issue modern media gyaan ,contemporrarism, bla bla bla.bye
It is truth that today's generation has much opportunity as compared to previous generation who were directionless, very rare opportunity for higher education having illiterate & poor parents. Still previous generation accepted the challange , worked hard and provided good up-bringing as well as higher education. Now the new generation must perform to fulfil the dreams of previous generation.
It is the hard work of the previous generation that has given the present one what they have today. What freaking fear did we have?nothing we just did what needed to be done without tom toming about it on social media. Got that
dear Mr. Ram although I am of the previous generation but I really like your article. The only thing today we want that this generation must have the privilege to run the government. We must handover the power to them and the oldies be given a retired life pension. I hope this young generation must come to politics with its full vibrant force.
Today;s youth is more engrossed in social networks than the reality. I dont agree they are confident, they are more dependable, a liability in the guise of fast growing culture.
Yeah right. And the next generation will say the same thing about India's youth of today.
Same thing will happen to every generation. Fact is that all new generations bring something new and carry on some things from the past. There is no generation which is greater than any other generation. Ever.
