As expressed by Lataji.

At the end of the day, however, it will be the adult franchise - the voters - the people of Bharatvarsh that would ultimately decide what they want. Besides, if the polls result in a situation that will demand a cocktail governance, the cocktail constituents would dictate the PM prescription. Rajiv had a field day. Atal was however unfortunate on that front; Morarji even less fortunate.

It will be interesting to know in 2014 whether Narendra has the fortune of having a field day with a considerable amount of democratic freedom of forming a cabinet of his own choice, with the options of hiring and firing at will when a member of his cabinet is a non-performing asset for the nation.

In unique situations the people of Bharatvarsh have given a field day to an individual personality out of emotional compulsions.

Bharatvarsh needs a strong leader to be enthroned in Delhi as the cocktails have not only sabotaged the economy and morale of the nation.

There is only a thin wall between leading a government democratically or imposing on it a dictatorship. A strong leadership is often bordering dictatorship rather than appreciating the prerogatives of a democratically installed Prime Minister.

The fear of dictatorship is an emotional blackmail of the people of Bharatvarsh which has indeed been subjected to dictatorship in the past.

A strong leadership is essential for progress without moral decay.

Godhra is conveniently sidelined.

Since you r a apolitical figure with highest level of respects as Public figures across the globe..irrespective of religion/caste/language..
However, expressing your view in public to one of the most controversial politicians who has not been exonerated yet by the masses from the cruelty he did in the past to one section of the society..you are endorsing his wrong doings to this community who are the biggest fan of you..its an unfortunate day for us..

You have definitely lost millions of fan today..sorry and shame

She gained the new millions
of fans anyways. you are a fan so
long she is singing to your
tune but now it suddenly sounds
so bitter. If you truly admired her
then go by what she says.

If not you are just a fake admirer
who admired someone because
she fit into your scheme of things.

Public Figures
by RSSHINDU on Nov 02, 2013 12:16 PM

If public figures should be apolitical in public life, then kick out Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan from politics first as they both receive huge kick-backs from their parties/national loot. Lata Mangeshkar has just made an opinion keeping in mind the national interest whereas Sachin and Amitabh are politicians themselves.

Lata Mangeshkar's comments

I have immense respect for Lataji. India has given her best contribution to the world by having Lataji as her daughter. She is a "blessing" to India.
However, let me refresh some memories of forgotten past:

I remember that she used to keep away from attending Rajya Sabha sessions when she was elected to Rajya Sabha citing the reason that commotion and chaos are big deterring causes for her to attend RS.

The Sister duo also strongly objected against the construction of fly over at Peder road close to their residence with a reason that their privacy will be compromised by construction of the proposed fly over.

They prioritized their personal interest over the public interest and welfare of millions of Mumbaikars.

Any way, she is a living legend. She is our utmost pride and we are glad to note that she expresses her views openly just like any other citizen of a democratic country.

It's not necessary that all of us would buy her theories or would get convinced. It's her very personal opinion. Let's respect and accept it.

Lata Mangeshkar wants to see Modi as PM
by DrSatya Jyoti on Nov 02, 2013 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

Lata Mangeshkar is known for her close ties with Shiv Sena also. She used to address Bal Thackeray as her brother. Hence, her utterances should not take us by surprise.

Of course, everyone in democracy deserves right to freely express his/her opinion irrespective of whether their thoughts are sensible, truthful or far away from being either of them.

It is her personal choice. Hope she is blessed with a clear conscience that helps her to differentiate between "good" and something that "only looks good".
