Here is a what happened: There is a elevated area (a hillock if you will) on which the indian army has a look out post and can see for miles in he plains below. It is easy to spot the intruders from here. The chinese wanted this lookout post to be removed. Our spinless govt obliged, the chinese "retreated". End of story.
Anybody old enough will not forget the names of Tawang/Walong/Bomdila/Chusul/Demchak/Daulat-Beg-Oldi during 1962 war with China, role played by Nehru,VKKrishnamenon & how women contributed their ornaments so that the nation can buy arms to fight the chinese.
