Congress is a lesser evil....
by A M on Mar 22, 2013 10:27 AM  | Hide replies

There cannot be a more cruel joke than this.. Congress has record breaking scams under it's belt... compare MMS governance to that of ABV's... ABV tenure gave the much needed boost to our economy the GDP was healthier..

Don't get carried away by the meaning of "lesser"!

What it means is that Congress party could have committed "more" transgressions but chose to commit "lesser"!

Be grateful for what you have and not greedy for what you can't get!

a very good joke. Credit for development from 1947 till date goes to Congress led government. What was the contribution of Chandrashekhar, Gujral, Devagowda, Charan Singh, Vp Singh and the great Vajpayee. Do we remember any positive thing they did. Vajpayee regime can be creditted for one single project and that is road project.

Congress with all its demerit is a lesser eveil and BJP is aBiggerDevil.

Maculay and rahul gandi
by arun govil on Mar 22, 2013 10:11 AM  | Hide replies

Though maculay's children were initiated ti the English language mainly to create a bank of english speaking elite and to help in the administration of the large country that India was, as the number and quality of Englishmen willing to stay and work in the colonies was not much. The employment of such Indians in the lower echelons of the administration, coined the phrase " A Nation of Babus". There was another aspect, that the vast majority of Indians could not appreciate the British thought process due to lack of familiarity with the rulers language. Post Independence, most of our top leaders were educated in England and were Brown Sahibs, who had little or no exposure to the INDIAN,except MK Gandhi, who tried to understand the INDIAN post his stay in South Africa.Nehru and his daughter both were western educated and particularly Mrs. Gandhi post the split in the Congress was paranoid about any leader rising in the party to even attempt to upstage her. She ensured that no second line of effective leadership ever took roots and that led to the culture of boot licking in the Congress which exists till today, making the Congress members rooting for Rahul Gandhi, there is no one else to challenge the Family. This phase may last only till this coming General Election and the Congress is bound to disintegrate in the near future.

The root cause of all this is our education system.

Our education system at its core has been the same as Lord Macaulay envisioned and implemented in India.

It was system that was supposed to produced subservient and obedient desk jockeys or clerks who would follow orders without questioning them.

To question a concept one needs to analyze it and then come up with valid questions that challenged the validity of the concept.

This is one of the fundamental precepts of research and innovation.

But, our first PM and the progenitor of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty did not want to create free thinking innovators.

He wanted the same desk jockeys who would follow orders obediently and help him and his dynasty maintain control on his Indian "empire" of distinct states!

We Indians who get easily besotted by emotional and sentimental yarns were hypnotised by Nehru's charisma and became passive spectators in a monopolistic democracy which defeats the whole purpose of being a democracy!

This is the reason why we are stuck with engineers from the best engineering and science institutions who have no sense of responsibility as most of them abandon engineering and science for masters degrees in business administration and join the industry which deals in making money off money!

Rahul's Vision
by Nitin on Mar 22, 2013 09:59 AM

I believe writer has insight and knows very well about Indian politics. People of India are having blind faith in Soniya and her family. They are being forgiven for every sin, every scam (100s of them need not to mention as u know well), every crime. Unless the nation awakes it will keep on going, Unless the nation become qualitatively literate it will keep on going. Strong thinker, visionary and who have made changes to the lives of people actually in his carrier is needed. Has any scheme of C'ngrss be it manrega, adhar card, food security can be implemented without any corruption? Big No...
Be neutral and then think logically...
Can any leader of C'ngrss point any wrong act of Soniya or her family? No... Why? They don't want their carrier to ruin..Vested Interest

Nothing new
by Atul Kumar on Mar 22, 2013 09:55 AM

The only thing great about Mr. Masani is that he is speaking what many of dare not to!

Other than that he has nothing new!

He is completely on the money about not only Prince Raul but more importantly, about the B J P!

B J P has had innumerable opportunities to rip a new one for the Congress party but has let these opportunities go waste like an old man lets opportunities to get intimate with a woman go waste because he hasn't taken his ED medication!
