I have served in Garhwal Rifles from 1964 to 1994. I have never heard of the Devi being the protector. It is now a political gimick. I agree our Garhwalis are superstitious. But logic has to take the front seat.
I do not know how many families of our troops are also affected by floods. I am sure Army must have sent the soldiers on leave to find their families. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT PLAY POLITICS.

nations youths must be trained for these purpose it will help to install patriotism among them .it is not enough to just earn to fill the stomach.one must serve the nation .thousands should have rushed to these unfortunates but i do not see any one interested in other sorrow
The 'TRAGEDY ' could have been avoided had the Uttarakhand Government arranged adequate alertness,quick rescue facilities, alarm of weather conditions for visits of Kedarnath & Badrinath by the thousands Pilgrims that is scheduled every year .
We should make sure that none of the Christian Missionaries should be allowed to carry out their sinister conversion business campaign in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh in name of soul harvesting.

Well said - The Govt is useless, the others havent come forward to help - and lets stop those who come in to help!if at all they do!.....I am sure in case u have an accident on the road - u wud certainly confirm from the person who helps u whether he is a christian?...and if so..ask him to let u remain there to die..rather being helped to the hospital?...long live religious lunatics!
