FEEL DEPRESSED HEARING THE NEWS OF ILL FATED SOLDIERS,ITS THE FATE OF INDIANS BECAUSE WE ARE RULED BY THE CORRUPT POLITICIANS. NO VALUE FOR HUMAN BEINGS WHETHER ITS SOLDIERS OR COMMON MAN.EVERYTHING IS CORRUPT. OUR CALCULATION IS SO SIMPLE ADD 19 TO THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DEATHS UTHARAKHAND.STILL I AM LOVING INDIA.JAI HIND
its very easy to blame poor weather...but dear defense, pls look into your war, relief rescue readiness. we are losing choppers & other equipment’s like soap bubbles... look at other countries where weather is much more extreme and how well they carried out the operation. fed up yar!!

If you have no clue you should not open your mouth.
No county operates helicopters in such trecherous terrain in such inclement weather. Did you watch the TV reports the last two days and notice how dense the fog and clouds were in the valley and ravines. Under the best visibility it is tough manouvering a chopper amidst those ravines and valleys. When visibility is so poor it is extremely difficult. The airforce has been very candid that they are taking calculated risks and that there is a possibility of an incident but given that about 20000 pilgrims are still stranded and the threat of heavy rains over the next 3 days, they undertook the operation.
What is more, even after this crash, the Airforce is NOT ending their flight operations.
Instead of complimenting them for putting their lives at risk, you are sitting on your rear end typing away messages.
Did you type any message about how ill prepared the Civil administration has been. Where are those IAS officers today who ensure that the military should be deprived of their pay parity?
The survivors recounted tales of how the DM's office closed promptly at 4PM and all employees left even as survivors were thronging there begging for help. Jai IAS!
Police were actually asking for bribes from survivors who requested help with moving from place to place in police vans. Where are those IPS officers? All surviviors are unanimous that if not for the Army, Airforce, and paramilitar like the ITBP, no help came.

More than 2000 sorties have taken place and 1 mishap has taken place, that too in treacherous terrain. And you call it 'losing helicopters like soap bubbles'.
Did you notice that some of the pilots when being interviewed by the TV channels, display really puffy eyes. What that tells me is that these pilots are really exerting themselves to the very limits just to rescue as many of the remaining 20000 as possible, before the heavy rains expected over the next 3 days, arrive.
Even in the US during hurricane Katrina, when New Orleans was submerged and 1000s upon 1000s of people were cut off for weeks hanging on to the rooftops of their submerged homes, for over 10 days NO help came.
So dont shoot your mouth without thinking what you are speaking.
