Pay for your deeds
by ganesh pillai on Jun 21, 2013 02:13 PM

This is what you get to be born as a human being, especially India, where the gov machinery will ensure everything is not in place and disaster management never happens until after it happens.

Met department should be congratulated for their good work along with various departments of state and central without whom this would not have been possible.

I would like to thank all of the greedy humans who are just blind for money and not for precious human life, this is repeating all over India,

The only thing is be safe wherever u r, don't get in trouble or no one will help, Proud to be an Indian

Will you decide that selling of cars and bicycles be restricted as there are severe jams because %age of roads in cities and metros are low
OR try to increase the roads.

Think.

This calamity tells us of indiscreminate construction resulting in loose soil etc.

Generally in pilgrims people are under the Lotus feet of Lord.

man's greed
by N Krishnan on Jun 21, 2013 01:18 PM  | Hide replies

see how man's greed and avarice is coming out in the open. instead of helping the stranded pilgrims who have gone without food for days together and locals who have lost everything, man in his greed is exploiting the situation and making a kill by charging exhorbitant prices. Are they really human beings? Animals are anytime better than us, human beings.

Vultures in name of Development professionals
by Sandy on Jun 21, 2013 01:12 PM

Apart from politicians and bureaucrats other people who will be rejoicing and will benefit from Uttarakhand tragedy are vultures in name of development professionals/consultants from organisations like United Nations and NGO's who will make money in name of rehabilitation and development for years.

You senseless moron, dams are the reason the situation is so bad. Building a dam in mountains causes irreparable damage to the mountains. These towns have been in existence for hundreds of years when there was no dam. Have proper knowledge before commenting like an ignorant scumbag

Akhil Gogoi, keep your fight on against mega dams in north east.
With corruption and loot and unscientific deforestation, roads and dams are not safe.Con-party looters have killed 15,000.Blame Modi for riots..
