personality cult
by Chrysanthemum sxaz on Jan 22, 2013 08:24 PM  | Hide replies

People forget that Modi at the helm will also mean an India that will have a massive communal cleavage and would bring the principle of majortiy rule under breakpoint stress. This would be a ripe opportunity for the anti-India elements to expliot this chasm and imperil the very idea of India. It may not be the begining but rather the beginning of the very end. Don't forget 2014 also involves the witdrawal of US troops from Afpak region, so either Modi superman can ensure a victory both agiasnt internal and external destabilization or better be prepared to become the Milosevic of India who foresaw the dismemberment of Yugoslavia and later even Serbia.

Grammar mistake in the title !
by ajai cs on Jan 22, 2013 08:09 PM  | Hide replies

I think the title of this article "The final harvest of Modi's cult of personality has yet to be reaped" is grammatically incorrect .

Maybe it should be "The final harvest of Modi's cult of personality is yet to be reaped"

Maybe we should check with some good copy editors of the site

Cult of Personality
by niladri mohanty on Jan 22, 2013 07:42 PM

Digvijay Singh soon after the recently concluded 'Chintan Shivir' of Congress party that what is there in BJP and Gujarat except personality cult of Narendra Modi. It left me wondering whether the media has not been utilised to build a personality cult around Rahul Gandhi over the past few years which the learned Professor alludes in respect of Benito Mussolini. So did Indira Gandhi. All political leaders aspiring for power or hoping to retain power build personality cult.

India's problem
by Tiger Mysore on Jan 22, 2013 06:55 PM

india's biggest problem lies in its diversed population. india is not a small country. so, our shareef politicians knows very well how to exploit it.

i don't think both Congress and BJP is eligible to rule this country. i would rather prefer a disciplined dictator who loves this country and use his will to develop india.

People of India have two choices -

1. Vote for Congress party that perpetuates mediocrity
2. Vote for Modi who will bring excellence

free package. but he will not be able to do it the way he has done it in gujarat. he will pretend to be secular. he has to because he has no option.

BJP talked about ram temple but forgot it when they come to power. BJP is also a party which fools people

The reaping season is round the corner.
by chanakya maurya on Jan 22, 2013 04:14 PM

It is not whether or not Narendra leads Bharatvarsh.

It is for the silent majority to decide whether they desire the treatment of an underdog to continue indefinitely in the name of the warbled edition of secularism that is being dished out to the people of Bharatvarsh in the name of constitution that is being grossly misinterpreted by the wily politician.

1914 is going to be a crucial year for Bharatvarsh and the silent majority.
