let us not react immediately...let us give shivers to pak army... they r surely expecting our strike...but lets give them at time n place of our choice... no emotional reaction..... pakis r testing our nerves...lets show them they r made of a finer steel
i just don't understand why we have given back the occupied land area in 1971 war on the cry of the many nations. had we acted tougher at that time we should have not been in this situation at all.

Hmm. I remember the NDA years very well. Did they do anything for the Jawans and the Kisans? Jai Jawan Jai Kissan is by the way also a Congress slogan mooted by Lal Bahadur Shastri. The NDA was merely a copy of all that the Congress has done. Their only "original" suggestion was "Ram Mandir" which quickly fell by the wayside once they had won the 1998 election
Writer did a commendable job in trying to resurrect the dead Vande Mataram spirit of our politicians. However the last line of the article "The response also needs to be timely" is something that they will find hard to trace in their dictionary as Timely word is something they may find 100 years from now if they do a time travel...that too chances are slim. If they knew the meaning of it....then the scores would have been settled after Mumbai bomb blasts. if they cannot avenge life of so many innocent civilians then this is nothing for them .... I hope Wikileaks can provide us some insights into what went between now and mumbai blast which kept India from retaliating. Proabably politicians wanted to start the one-day and test match series asap... :(

I am proud to belong to a religion which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance. We believe not only in universal toleration, but we accept all religions as true - Swami Vivekananda
Their mind set is different, so why blame them. Question is, do we have courage and resources to launch an Isreli style operation to pick up Hafiz Sayeed when he goes around LOC delivering hate speeches to Pak soldiers ??? If not, just forget it and keep on doing 'AMAN KI ASHA' and playing criket and awaiting the next such incidence !!!

I agree to every point you said. But a question came in my mind is who is "we" in here ? Our army, learned people have suggested to be harsh but "we" want to be polite.
While watching the news, I was surprised to see that despite of henious act, our people were trying to send their truck loads of dry fruits and other things to Pakistan. And Pakistan closed their gates !! Is money more important than lives of innocent soldiers, people who were killed in Mumbai attack?
I know that hatred is not the solution, but extremes from Pakistan are enough to bring hatred in any person.
We should stop all the trade and cricket with this country which is filled with demons, liars and back-stabbers.
Suprisingly, Sonia Ji, Manmohan Ji and the related clan is keeping quiet. Well I can understand that they must be counting their cash reservoirs and thinking to let the country go to dogs. I am sure Pakis must be laughing on this as I laugh today with gloom in my heart.
Each time we talk about peace, there is a stab in our back from Pakistan. How long will the country survive with this policy? I am not saying that we should get into a war but we must be strong let them know that they are still eating our dry fruits and using cars manufactured by us.
So unfortunate to have a country like Pakistan as our neighbour. Feel like living in Israel with Palestines nearby!!
O dear, my deaf government, I feel so sorry in my heart and on behalf of other indians who voted for you to put our country in this mess.
I know that a change will come but no hope of a definitive time period.
Indeed, Pakistan has been waging proxy war against India time and again and has crossed all limits. For Indian Govt as well as for the Army/Airforce/Navy time has come "to act" and not to deliver lectures one what we should and what we should not. It is a futile exercise and waste of time to talk to Pakistan and furnish evidences. truck loads of evidence related to 26/11 Mumbai Attack has been rejected by Pakistan. If we are really concerned to uphold the dignity and self respect, we must act so that Pakistan cannot launch adventurous attacks on India and Indian people.
