QandA QandA
The origin of the word
by QandA QandA on Jan 04, 2013 08:44 AM  | Hide replies

The word cour comes from the French court, an enclosed yard, which derives from the Latin form cortem, the accusative case of cohors, which again means an enclosed yard or the occupants of such a yard. The words yard, court, and Latin hortus (meaning "garden," hence horticulture and orchard), are cognates—all referring to an enclosed space.[4]
The meaning of a judicial assembly is first attested in the 12th century, and derives from the earlier usage to designate a sovereign and his entourage, which met to adjudicate disputes in such an enclosed yard. The verb "to court", meaning to win favor, derives from the same source since people traveled to the sovereign's court to win his favor

So what is my point... A system like providing justice was just borrowed from the British. It was never born and brought up by Indians and it was imposed on them...

YOU CANNOT PROVIDE JUSTICE IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. Laws are written in language which people should speak, understand and feel for it like they have feelings for movies or songs or dance...

After independence a group of people who had studied abroad in UK got together and wrote the Constitution in English...

These laws are not felt by the people and are not changed since the Birtish Times.

Nobody has got proper justice 'Cos they did not understood the system or they were simply afraid of it...

REMEMBER A 12'th standard FAILED PERSON GOES FOR LAW DEGREE IN INDIA... While this institution is highly paid

the reaity of rape trials !
by Sandeep Mukherjee on Jan 04, 2013 08:22 AM

it is perhaps politically incorrect to say this but rape trials are a farce in india already i.e, the accused is presumed to be guilty based on just the word of the accuser, her lawyers and relatives.. the accused already had no rights and protection..
now after this much publicised delhi brutal rape and murder, a situation has arisen when all future rape trials will become totally a farce. that the accused will be declared guilty and hanged is a foregone conclusion, everyone's minds are made up.. the judicial system is just going thru a routine process for the sake of it..then why prolong eveyone's(and their)agony? why not just hang them?
maybe our hypocritic society and system just want to prove to the world how great a democracy we are! how well established our fair and just legal system is!while in reality we are just a mobocracy..where howling lynch mobs dictate policy and laws on the streets! and our great judicial and administrative system just finds ways to accommodate the whims of the howling mobs thru this charade of civilised jurisprudence!

This man so called 'juvenile' shouldbe given much more punishment than others. He is going to be hard core criminal is it is not nipped in the bud itself.. no pardon to him and no special leniency to him.

Right. Children should be killed once we find that they are doing wrong.
