Raghvan is reasonably right in his approach

The deterioration in political etheics and fall in moral levels of Rulers , causing more problems for CBI to function, when CBI was about to investigate Coalgate minister (PM), we found the adverse remark from PM and FM , and further a similar verdict came from Assam High Court, making CBI a vague organisation having no sanction of Law under any act. Is it a coincidence or well calculated move , only insiders know , but what is required , is to make a CBI , a statuatory body , Govt should act and make CBI an independent investigating agency which can act independently in the interest of Country.

Much of what Raghavan has said is true. A leader of impeccable character can make for a great organization. Sheshan changed the functioning of the Election Commission for ever. Vinod Rai the former CAG distinguished himself and his organization for the good work done in exposing the various scams of UPA and won international recognition. Unfortunately CBI did not have a Sheshan or Vinod Rai and it willingly submitted to the dictates of the Govt. Hence it has lost all credibility in the eyes of the people and has now become a tool in the hands of the govt. Rightly the Supreme Court has criticized it as a "Caged Parrot". The politicians are equally responsible for spoiling the organization.

TO THE SOME EXTENT DR. R.K.RAGHAVAN IS RIGHT.
BUT NOW THE RULLING PARTY & OPPOSITION PARTY, BOTH ARE INTERESTED TO GIVE THE CASES TO CBI, JUST TO PROLONG TO DETAILS TO COME OUT & KEEP THE CASES PENDING & BOTH CAN FOOL THE PEOPLE. RULLING PARTY IS MORE INTERESTED BECAUSE THEY CAN USE THE DETA AS AND WHEN THEY WANT.

Not only the psuedosecular media with its TV anchors but a whole generation of Indians have been brainwashed with the psuedosecular ideology of the Congress. The Media was controlled and Congress had a field day for 50 years. The younger generation have woken up and are more informed and question. The old order of fooling the people by keeping them ignorant is gone. The majority community is happy now to acknowledge its great heritage and their religion.

What Mr Raghavan said "Wherever there is no politics involved, people feel the case should be handled by a neutral agency like the CBI rather than the police." Wherever there is politics involved, people do not trust CBI.

It is not because more & more cases are being given to CBI by the courts because of the credibility of CBI, it is because there is no alternative agency to approach.

Raghavan, CBI and Gujerat riot
by K Bhaskaran on Dec 03, 2013 03:21 PM  | Hide replies

Let Raghavan introspect whether he has been true to the ideals, spirit, true to his own organisation when he exonerated Modi from the Gujerat Riots. The people think otherwise.

RICHEST DANCER!
by amulbaby on Dec 03, 2013 03:19 PM

NEW DELHI: According to a report in the Huffington Post, Congress president Sonia Gandhi is the 12th richest political leader in the world.

With $2 billion wealth, Gandhi is believed to be richer than the British Queen Elizabeth II, Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.

To compile the list, Huffington Post compared each country's GDP per capita juxtaposed with a leader's personal net worth, just to show 'how different life is for the haves and have-nots'.

The list includes kings, presidents, sultans and queens. The richest leaders among the top 20 originated from the Middle East region.

CBI and its autonomy
by gopalakrishnan caruthedath on Dec 03, 2013 03:16 PM

Well said Mr.Raghavan. The CBI has to be given complete autonomy so that it can investigate fearlessly and bring results.
