masses to have to change the system
by tarun chhabra on Apr 24, 2013 02:00 PM

We Indians are from different areas, speak different languages and have different choices but still when i talk to most of them, there are some fundamental issues:- This Government has screwed the country. Politicians have become so corrupt that they can actually sell the border areas to rich Chinese Govt. People ruling the country have no emotions for the country.

and the worst is that other options are also similar to what we have today.

Indians are really worried what to do. if we vote third front to power, things will become even worse, UPA is gone, BJP is also struggling. We have to really come together and change the model of governance. May be presidential form of Govt, may be ruled by people, etc..

missed chances
by ASHISH SHRIVASTAVA on Apr 24, 2013 01:37 PM  | Hide replies

We could have become superpower but we have lost our chances. We opened up the economy (partially) in 1991 and after 23 years we are still confused which model we need to adopt fully (left to centre, centre, right to centre , inclusive growth etc).

I am nither a BJP member nor a supporter of them but my opinion is that they laid a solid foundation for indian economy. The UPA 1 reaped the benefit of their hard work for initial 3-4 years. But UPA's rule in last 9 years has ensured that India will never be able to match China in times to come.

To become a superpower India needed to have 10 GDP growth for 30 years but in last fiscal year we had less than 5%. Now even 6% looks a very ambitious target. If we do not have funds then how we can modernize the armed forces and develop the Military infrastructure. And without that we can not match China

Let us teach China a BIG lesson !
by Ravi Airy on Apr 24, 2013 01:33 PM  | Hide replies

Our imports of Chinese made goods & services is in billionbs of $s and our exports not even 20% of imports. If UPA Govt. doesnt act against China's intrusions etc. we the people must do the following and involve AAM ADMI PARTY in addition to other citizens across India:
1. Stop buying cheap & third rate Chinese goods from Malls & markets.

2. Boycot Malls & Shops that sell as much as 90% Chinese made goods including toys, cell phones, electrical & electronic goods that are most unreliable & not worth the money we spend.

3. Traders & Importers who import Chinese goods must be gheraoed & their Containors seized at ports or vessels not allowed to be birthed at Indian Ports.

Above action will help us revive Indian manufacturing, create more jobs and reduce our fiscal deficite thus improving our Indian economy. I urge all Indians to "please" stop using any China made item even if it means spending a little nore on such items made by Indian firms etc.

very much valid point. Against chinese agression on border India should avoid importing directly from China. but point is that in India every one can be bribed.
