What happens to the child victim's psychology? She may have to bear the extreme trauma throughout her life; and in our scociety stigma may always remain. In another plain - it is really left for the civil society now to examine why such crimes are rapidly increasing in our soceity. Finding the root causes of this societal ill is necessary rather than attacking the symptoms with tough legislations.
Once arrested, the law should be refined such a way that the culprit is given immediate sentence (even hanged to death)in public rather than the going through ages old judicial procedures of keeping the culprit in remand fro one week etc etc. Ofcouse all people who are investigating the crimes should be sincere, transparent and not partisan.
A justice delayed can give rise to more people committing crimes as they are being given opportunity that in India Law will take its own course which is usually 2-3 decades
