3.5 crores is not a huge amt but its not small either. He should invest in real estate. Buy a flat or two in Mumbai/delhi, then rent it out. This will give him regular income for the rest of his life. 1 crore for this own house 1 crore for a flat in mumbai 1 crore for a flat in delhi 0.50 crores in bank for emergency.
Rental income (15000-20000) for the rest of his life, plus capital appreciation..... ENJOY
give a flower to a scavenger and he keeps it in his nose.
The money he got can be used to do lot of ventures and not just spend it on home. Approach a venture capitalist who can give an idea to double the money with wise investment.

It is a tragic mistake to put your money and home in somebody else name. Even Dileep kumar is facing court case from his brothers at the age of 90 years. your and your kids might face lot of legal issues.

WE shd encourage him, nothing wrong in learning it as 1 learns other languages like German, French etc. Language has no religion...I did not understand many words in Gazals which were clarified by my friends/relatives who r fond of Urdu.
