FDI is in India for a long time. Just that it has been extended to multi-brand retail. Its been there in single brand retails too for a number of years now. Check your facts before you parrot Modi's lines like a d*mb a#s.
it gives fair price to local farmers and also gets the product to consumers direct and fresh at a reasonable rate. APMCs are good concept which needs to be strengthened, which will benefit India in the long run. Economic reliance on outsiders is not good thing, even US is waking up to that.
never any poltical party or social media,salable indian media (ndtv,ibn etc),so called ngo kejariwal or few others never attacked on sonia (who master of all scam in india )first time modi take on radar thanks to modi.

that's because as Mamta puts it CONgi uses Money-Muscle-Mafia to control media. There's a news in an international business magazine that "Sonia Gandhi 4th richest politician in the world" with $20 billion is secret accounts, did any media talk? But they will run 24 hr breaking news when kids slap someone in Mangalore.
our FDI - foreign deposited Indian money is enough to build some cold storage and some fancy stores. This FDI allows 70% import (not from local market), that will only ensure flood of chinese products killing Indian retail as well as mfg. Don't go by what few paid economists with industry connections say; don't go by the promise of making few extra bucks in stock market; don't be fooled by some prospect of walking in to fancy stores and buy over-packaged GM products with preservatives to have long shelf-life.
