I fully endorse your observation. I didn't have the privilege to see Late Lal Bahadur Shastri for not being that long in the tooth but heard a lot about him from my parents on how he was an epitome of simple, straight-shooting life. But, I hv very much witness ed how another luminary Vajpayee tried to change the face of impoverished india from rag to riches in little more than 6 years. I continue to hold the firm belief that the gravest mistake that the donkeys of this snake-bitten country did was ousting excellent NDA in 04. Had NDA helmed india's affairs for one more term, history w'd have been made. But, it appears, moke indias love to get tricked into voting master of con-con-gress.
‘I Can’t Think Of One Politician Worthy Of Respect’: This is the same hackneyed, worn-out, stale, clichéd, trite, old, cheap, scandalous, disgraceful and low priced way of selling one’s third rate stuff that one shamelessly calls writing or part of literature. Frankly there are very, very few Indian journalists, authors and writers worth licking. And Shoba De is not one of them!
