Much noise has been created on the posting on FB by two Girls and the subsequent action in the matter. Now before we proceed to understand the situation, we must bear in mind the following:
1. Subsequent to the death of Mr Balasaheb Thakery , No Bandh call was given by Shiv Sena
2. A huge crowd of about 25 lakhs attended his funeral, coming from all over the State.
3. Not a single untoward incident occurred in the city during this period.
4. It is a rare incident in the History that such a huge human sea was in attendance in sorrow.
5. The Trains and Busses were functioning normally, without any trouble.
6. If such a huge sea of humans descend, then is it practical for any merchant like shop keepers, etc., to keep their establishment open and run, and if not, if they close down, either to participate in the funeral, what is their fault.
7. Does not these people have a right to participate in the funeral. Can anyone stop it?
Now coming to the question of the Girls posting on the Facebook, please see that:
1. These girls have acted in most irresponsible manner in their posting.
2. They have posted without taking into consideration any of the above points.
3. It seems that they have un-developed brain, and were unable to see the truth.
4. Is it not a fact that their posting amounts to instigation of a mob, which was otherwise extremely peaceful.
5. Was this the time for expressing their ‘so called’ free

Mr. Dutt, every living being on this planet may not share what you think is right or appropriate under a given circumstance.

Every person has a right to say or do anything short of violence.

BUT you may not understand that as people like you try and justify violence just because somebody has a different opinion than yours.

Today, india is under threat more from people like you rather than Tabilan supporters from across the border.

Wake up Dutt, I agree that people like Balasaheb doesn't born everyday; I respect him.

But the Bandh was forced at many places by Shiv Sainiks; after coming back from home post-Diwali, I went mad because I could not manage a single pouch of milk for my 2 Yr old daughter. I stay in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. At least in Kharhgar, the Bandh was forced.

Arresting for writing on FB
by W Farnando on Nov 23, 2012 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

when One says that arresting the girls was to prevent them from harm is like saying "I cut my foot to fit my shoe".Two wrongs dont make a right.Let us be honest we as a nation have still to attain maturity in thought. We celebrate so many festivals portraying the conquest of good over evil but sadly nothing of that exists in the mind of a microscopic minority who taint the larger image of India. We have to move away from this patriarchal form of thinking if we are going to call ourselves progressive and a fast developing country.

Obviously you can write whatever, but what you need to do is have a posting with your photograph and address on it.Then Iam sure you will not cut your foot, but put foot in your mouth.
You act as if you are too smart, if you were in the condition, you would have surely called police for help, so if police says... arrest was for good, I can only imagine, what would have happened with the crowd marching to their homes instead of clinic? The comment was provocative with the intention of being disrespectful. Well she can write anything when he father dies and yeah that is true Freedom of speech.

Forget the Rupees, most of the politicians themselves give much more provocative statements in public domain right in front of media. None of them get arrested. Is that because police believe people are not serious about such statements or is it because police believes politicians can keep themselves safe.

by arun on Nov 23, 2012 10:28 AM

Every day we found a lot of scraps in face book, in rediff and any other scraps against govt. and against religion. But never heared or listened arrest anybody. But this is the first time I saw these girls arrested for using scraps. So i think scraps should be banned so that no will write anything.
