i visited an establishment of central govt, arund 25 tears back. there were around 20 engineers employed in it. 15 of them hailed from southern states, 4 were from non gujarath north Indian states, and only one from local community. they were not enamoured of govt. jobs and preferred their own business/or industrial/service enterprises. there was no regret / agitation among on the account that that a lot of non gujarathis are employed profitably in their state!
it is not surprising the develop faster than other states!
